The downtown core remains an important commercial center for the city with several large retailers including Macy’s Department Store, JCPenney, Sears & Roebuck Catalogues/Elkridge Mall/, Kohl’s Department Stores/the Knapp Center/, Ford Parts/the Fritsche Building/, McDonald’s/, Blue Moon Brewing Company/, etc., while smaller businesses dot the surrounding neighborhoods providing services such as restaurants/cafeterias/grocery stores/.
