The first handguns were made in the Goshen area in 1848. The pistols were made by a man named Levi and his son Amos. The guns were used as shotguns, but they did not have sights. A man named John Ritchie patented a sight-in revolver in 1857. This gun was used by the United States military during World War II.

The first settlers in Goshen were Nicholas and Anna Stiles who arrived on July 10, 1824. They built a log cabin on the east side of the creek near where present day Elm Street and Main Street meet. They named their new settlement after Goshen, England which they had just left for America. Over time many other families moved to Goshen including: Fenton, Freeman, Herring, Blanchette (Dunsmore), Hickey (Hagler), Jackson (Jennings), Kapp (Kappenroth), Lavigne (Lavigne) and Purdy (Purdy). In 1836 the post office was established at Goshen with John Hagler as Postmaster In 1850 many more people moved to Goshen when Isaac Nye opened a store at the intersection of Elm and Market Streets. This led to what is now called "Nye's Corner" because so much business was conducted there. Nye also started a brewery which continues today as First National Brewing Company Goshene also became an important transportation center during its early years with stagecoaches arriving from Wabash Valley each morning trips lasting all day making it possible for residents to get work done while they waited out lunchtime or dinner services began. By 1860 only 3 miles of rail existed in Dearborn County and most goods transported by wagon or horseback This changed however when Mr. John Crouch developed an idea for building a railroad through Dearborn County from east-west running parallel to existing roads providing easy access for goods and passengers bringing prosperity to Goshene along with jobs that would be available for those who could build tracks The first train passed through town on November 17th 1870 passenger numbers reached 100 with plans being made to connect multiple lines into one network later becoming reality under Mr Giannini leadership connecting Chicago Illinois with points north via Indianapolis Indiana . Today over 1 million passengers operate daily Amtrak trains passing through Goshene creating unique opportunities for citizens both inside and outside of town

In 1825, John Browning developed what became known as the Browning Rifle, which featured a 5x50mm scope with adjustable turrets that allowed for various range settings from 50 yards up to 500 yards. The popularity of these rifles led to development of other types of sights including red dot sights and holographic sights. One key reason why guns came into being is because humans were unable to effectively shoot targets at close ranges using only their eyesight alone. To overcome this limitation, shooters began using guns with stocks that allowed them to use both eyes while aiming downrange. This gave shooters improved accuracy at short range while also allowing them greater accuracy when shooting through obstacles or overheads such as trees or buildings

Goshen, Indiana is a small town in Kosciusko County,Indiana. The population was 1,890 at the 2000 census. Goshen was founded in 1837 by Eli and Anna (Green) Goshen. It became an incorporated village in 1881. In 1900 it had a population of 2,272. The post office closed in 1907 and the last letter from the mail service arrived on October 15th that same year. There were no residents living there after 1908 when the last stagecoach to Goshen stopped at the town's edge and never stopped again
Goshen was founded in 1814 by Nicholas Goshen and his brother James. The Goshens were a Quaker family from Pennsylvania. The first store in town was built on the corner of High and Main Streets. In 1825, the Goshen brothers sold the business to John Hargrave. In 1834, Gershom Mott founded Osage College in Goshen.
