Gun grips history in Franklin, Indiana began on January 1, 1892 with the opening of the First National Bank. The bank was located at 6th and State Streets and it is notable for being one of the few banks in Franklin to remain open until 1994. At that time, it was also the first bank in Indiana to be designated a “firearms dealer” by state law. In 1907, Second National Bank opened as well and helped make Franklin a thriving community with several restaurants and a library. It is also noteworthy for being one of the few communities in Indiana to have its own police department. In 1934, First American Bank merged with First National Bank and became known as First American Bankshares Incorporated. At this time, gun grips were introduced into Franklin through purchasing two handguns from J.D. Stephens Gun Grip & Arms Company. The pistols were used as part of a marketing campaign to promote firearms ownership within the community and were also used to test out new products at various events throughout the year. The campaign eventually led to establishment of a Pistol Club which meets monthly today within the confines of First American Bankshares Incorporated building on 5th Street West near State Street (now home to Stonington Savings Bank).

Some of the earliest known gun grips were used to hold firearms in a shooter's hand so they could be point-of-sale (POS) ready. handgun grip design evolved over time to meet this need, as did the way guns are held with grips. Gun handles today vary greatly in terms of shape, size, and material composition. The first Known Gun Handle was found on an Assyrian military officer's sword dated to about 1050 BC. The handle was made from a piece of wood or leather that had been wrapped around a knob or other object. This type of handle was also used on spears and bows at the time. Gun handles began appearing in Europe during the 12th century AD. In England, two different types of gun handles were developed: one using a round crossguard which resembled a modern pistol grip style; and another featuring an acorn-shaped guard that resembled a modern rifle buttstock grip (Figures 1 & 2). These early gun handles allowed shooters to more easily control rifles while gripping them. While there are many different shapes and sizes available today for firearm grips, most handguns still use traditional pistol grip designs (Figs 3 & 4). Pistol grip designs allow shooters to maintain complete control over their firearms while shooting - making it an essential tool for law enforcement officers, emergency responders, and other active shooters who need total detachment from their weapons while performing tasks such as reloading or opening drawers/doors.

The history of Franklin begins with Benjamin Franklin himself. He was born on December 12th 1706 into a prominent family in Bostonport Township near Portsmouth (now Defiance). After attending college at Williams College (now Williamsburg), he became an experienced scientist and political figure who played an important role in the development of democracy in America. In 1784 he married Lucy Mottet (1724-1801), who was also an accomplished scientist and politician; they had two children: John Adams Frick (1785-1868) and Abigail Adams Frick (1789-1851). In 1790 they moved to Kirtland County on the Ohio River where they lived for several years before moving back to Bostonport Township on the Delaware River where they remained until their death. On November 3rd 1800 Franklin created what would become known as Pennsylvania's first election law - this law gave voting rights to all citizens regardless of race or sex! This innovative decision helped make Philadelphia one of America's most vibrant cities during the early 19th century! During his time as mayor of Philadelphia from 1800-04 Benjamin Franklin developed Poor Law reforms that aimed to improve conditions for working class people across England through legislation such as magistrates' courts that could hear cases involving poverty or debtors' prisons; these efforts failed because wealthy aristocrats opposed any form of government interventionism! Many historians believe that without Benjamins' leadership Philadelphia would have become another Dickensian city like London – full of Poverty Row slumlords housing destitute streetwalkers!
