In 1974, when Marion County merged with Hendricks County to form Circle City OKLAHOMA COUNTY, Franklin became an unincorporated community within Circle City OKLAHOMA COUNTY again because that is where its municipal boundaries ended at that time (it had been part of HendricksCounty from 1934-1974). After years of being without municipal services (due to lack of money), officials decided to reincorporate Franklin into Circle City OKLAHOMA COUNTY after finding out other municipalities were not following through with their promises made about providing services such as trash pickup or streetlights; this led to much anger and frustration among residents who felt they were left behind racially while other surrounding municipalities got more resources and tax dollars while their residents suffered silently or actively sought redress from their governments! Despite all this frustration and anger towards government inaction/elaborate planning/discrimination against unorganized communities like themselves across many different counties over the past few decades or so (!), things changed dramatically for everyone involved on July 1st 2017 when President Donald Trump announced via Twitter his intention to relaunch American Community Survey - commonly known as “the Census” - which would finally provide proper data collection for all statutorily recognized communities (unfortunately including many small towns) across America once again! This announcement caught everyone by surprise because no one knew anything about it until just before it happened (which seems strange considering how often President Trump makes statements related to important policy issues seemingly without warning anyone ahead of time)... but oh well... life goes on! And so does the hope for better days ahead for those living within our tiny little community right here in Franklin!
