From the early 1800s until the late 1910s, Frankfort’s gun market was dominated by one company: Winchester. The company made a variety of firearms, including handguns and shotguns, and exported them to all corners of the world. Winchester also became a leading producer of ammunition, selling its products both inFrankfort and around the world. Gun swivels were first patented in 1892 by J.M. Brownell and Wm. Hennigan. At that time, they were a relatively new technology—just two years old!—and had yet to find any widespread use outside of military and law enforcement applications. However, over time they became increasingly popular among shooters for several reasons: (1) They allowed guns to be reversed so that they could be fired from the side without having to remove the magazine; (2) They allowed people with disabilities or weak hands to shoot safely; (3) They increased accuracy when shooting from different positions; and (4) They helped keep guns locked up during long trips overseas or on camping trips. In 1907, Winchester merged with Remington Arms Company, which created what is now known as Remington Firearms Corporation. At this point gun swivels started becoming more common in civilian society as well, thanks in part to their usefulness as locks for handguns and other firearms. In 1966 Remington introduced a model called the “RemINGTON Model 6500” which featured an adjustable trigger guard and grip safety system that prevented accidental fire within reach of children or others who might mishandle a weapon.—Today there are dozens of companies manufacturing gun swivels across all sizes and shapes.—

Frankfort is a city in the U.S. state of Indiana. The population was 44,839 at the 2010 census, making it the largest city in Clark County and one of the most populous cities in Indiana. The current Mayor of Frankfort is Greg Ballard. The area that would become Frankfort was first settled by Native Americans in the late 18th century as part of what is now Clark County. In 1795, French traders arrived in what is now Frankfort and began trading with the local Potawatomi Indians. By 1800, this trade had grown to include goods such as flour, tobacco, beads, and firearms. In 1814–1815 during the War of 1812, General James Kapp's army invaded what is now Clark County and burned much of present-day Frankfort while occupying nearby Fort Wayne; this event became known as "the Battle of Fort Wayne." Afterward, some residents moved to other areas within Clark County while others developed land around present-day Frankfort on which they built homes or stores. In 1840s an Anglican mission was established near what is now downtown Frankfort by Reverend John William Caldwell; this mission served many native American tribes until it closed in 1868 due to Indian hostilities over religious beliefs among various tribes。 In 1865 when Clarksville was founded as a town on parts of present day Franklin Township east of Interstate 5 and west of US Routes 7 and 32 (now I-70), several Creek people from Georgetown were employed by JW Caldwell to help lay out streets for Townsite #2 but soon left when their Creek chief disapproved thereof (). Some displaced Creek people eventually founded a new tribe called "The Creeks" (later renamed "The Choctaws") adjacent to modern-day Franklin Township about 1890 (). The original town site lying along Wabash River northwestof I-5 became home to numerous businesses before being annexed by Indianapolis early in 1920 (). When Indianapolis incorporated as a city on June 15, 1924 its boundaries expanded southward beyond those defined earlier forFrankfort; also that year Indianapolis annexation included all or nearly alllying portions lying between Wabash River & State Road 100E including present day downtownFrankfurt & much subsequent growth). Today Downtown Frankfurt includes almost alllying portions east/northwestof I-69 including much recent development along Wabash River extending into northern Hendricks County – making it not just another IU campus but one contiguous with Evansville (& Elkhart) across river

Frankfort was founded in 1827 by George and Sarah Lyon. The Lyons were the first to settle in what is now Frankfort, Indiana. Frankfort became a popular stop on the Underground Railroad because of its strategic location at the intersection of several trails that led south to Louisville, Kentucky and east to Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1849, when Indiana became a state, Frankfort became its capital. The population of Frankfort increased rapidly during the 19th century due to heavy industry and trade that took place in the surrounding area. One of the most prominent businesses in town was Dyer's Boots & Shoes which operated from 1861 until it closed its doors in 1922. The Lincolns also played an important role in Frankfort's history; they served as Mayor from 1892 until their death in 1906. During World War I, many residents volunteered for military service and some even lost their homes and lives while serving our country. After the war ended, many new families moved into town and started anew. Today, Frankfort is a thriving community with a rich history that can be experienced firsthand through its attractions such as the Franksburg Museum (dedicated to honoring General James Biddle Franks), Stroudsburg Brewing Company (a top-tier brewery based out ofFrankfurt, Germany) and numerous restaurants and bars around town. There are also plenty of cultural experiences available such as exhibits at the Frischauer House Museum or tours of local farms and mills along SR 12/SR 14 just outside town limits!

Frankfort is a city in and the county seat of Frankfort County, Indiana, United States. The population was 11,812 at the 2010 census. The first settlement in what is now Frankfort County was made by Nicholas Goodrich on the banks of the White River on November 3, 1814. He named his new community "Goodrichville". In 1815, John Fenton moved from Geneva to start a mill on the White River and renamed it Fentonville. A post office called Fentonville was established in 1817, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1893. In 1830, Abraham Lincoln's father-in-law Drury built a cabin near where present day State Capitol building stands. It is said that President Abraham Lincoln spent one night there while he traveled through central Indiana during his campaign for president in 1856. A small township called Prairie Grove was organized around this time and began receiving citizens by wagonloads from neighboring townships. On February 17, 1840, when Territorial Governor Noah Webster granted land to each town within Green Township east of the Stony Creek for location of an academy to be founded as part of Territory government education policy; Prairie Grove had 10 residents only! The town site became home to future University of Indianapolisprofessors like George Catlin (1841) and Lewis Cass (1846). In 1847 Old Fort Starkey – which stood just south of today's State Capitol – served as point of entry into Indian Territory for traders coming up the Whitewater River from Missouri & Illinois. Withdrawing settlers before their destination could be reached created more open space along Whitewater Valley for agriculture than would have been available if withdrawals had continued unchecked….. Pioneer Isaac Sibley set out from Prairie Grove with his family on July 9th 1840 moving northwest into what is now Delaware Township after selling 640 acres lot next door including some buildings still standing at 453 E Washington Street today….. By 1850 only 21 families lived within 5 miles surrounding Frankforttown limits……… In 1861 Confederate General Robert Ewell occupied much of eastern Kentucky northeast of Louisville while Union General John Custer advanced westward across Kentucky towards Nashville…. From 1862 until 1865 Confederate General Jourdan took over most eastern Kentucky between Louisville & Lexington………… After Jourdan's death General Forrest took control…………………………….. At present day there are few left remaining buildings or people associated with early pioneer days such as Isaac Sibley or Robert Ewell…………………………………. Today’s downtown area has experienced significant growth since its earliest days……………………………………… The state capitol complex complex located here dates back to 1911 when Indiana Legislature convened here under then Speaker “Hap” Arnold
