The 9x19mm Luger ammo became popular among law enforcement agencies around the world because of its low recoil and ease of use; however, it was not as successful as Russian sniper cartridges when used in handguns. Both types of ammunition were eventually replaced by new designs due to advances in technology; however, some older calibers still remain in use throughout the global arms market today.
The first cartridges were invented in 1795 by Nicholas-Jacques Conte, a French artillery officer. The cartridge was an exploding round that could be filled with powder and shot or the sealing wax of a projectile. It took about 100 years for the development of modern firearms to make it possible for people to carry rounds of ammunition with them wherever they went. In 1853, Johann Gutenberg developed the printing press which made it possible for people to produce their own rounds of ammunition.
Fishers, Indiana is a small city located in the central part of the state ofIndiana. It was founded by John Fisher in 1825 and has been home to many businesses, including two mills that continue to produce flour and other products today. The city’s rich history can be traced back to its earliest days as a tiny community on the banks of the White River. John Fisher first set foot in what is now known as Fishers when he arrived with his family from England in 1825. At that time, the area was still part of British India and there was no organized government in place governing Indian affairs. In order to provide for their new family, John and his wife Elizabeth started a small farm near where they currently live. They operated it until 1828, when they moved again, this time to what is now known as downtown Fishers. The early years of downtown Fishers were difficult due to lack of resources and constant competition from neighboring towns. However, over time Downtown Fishers grew into one of the most important commercial districts in Indiana because it had a number of successful businesses: two mills (the First National Bank and Phelps & Whitney), four grocery stores (Grocery Mart #1-4), four insurance companies (National Life Insurance Company #1-4), seven retail stores ( Merchants Drug Store #1-7) and three educational institutions (Phelps School #1-3). In addition, several churches were also established during this period: First Baptist Church (#2) in 1905; Second Methodist Church (#3) in 1911; and Third Presbyterian Church (#4) in 1916.
Fishers is a city in and the county seat of Union Township, Fisher County, Indiana. The population was 10,623 at the 2010 census.
