The Evansville Gun Magazines company was founded in 1922 by Al P. “Doc” Henson and Harry L. Godfrey. Henson served as the president and CEO of the company for over thirty years until his death in 2009. Godfrey continued to serve as President and CEO until his death in 2016. Evansville is a city in and the county seat of Posey County, Indiana, United States. The population was 17,830 at the 2010 census. Evansville is the second-largest city inIndiana after Indianapolis. It is also home to Purdue University. The first European settlement in what would become Evansville was made on February 14, 1814 when a group of Frenchmen and their Indian guides established a trading post called "L'Etoile" on the east side of the White River. It was burned down by Indians in 1815 and never rebuilt. The town site was chosen for its accessibility to water supplies from both the White River and two small creeks that flowed through it – Dark Creek on the north side and Clear Creek on the south side – as well as its location near Fort Dearborn, which had been built during Indian Wars to protect settlers from Native American attack. The region which would become Evansville became part of Posey County on April 15, 1837 following an election held in that year between James Hennepin (the first white settler) and John Dent (a blacksmith). On November 3, 1850, voters approved a charter for what would become Purdue University; this event marked one of the most significant milestones in Evansville's history. In 1857–1858, construction began on what would be known as Main Street; this development led to increased business activity for Evansville businesses over time and helped contribute to its rapid growth over ensuing decades. The city's first fire occurred November 5th 1906 when a warehouse belonging to JH & Sons exploded due to faulty wiring inside; this event caused extensive damage but no injuries. In 1904–1905, Annie Besant donated land adjacent to her home at 111 Wacker Drive for use as a public square; this structure served as an important landmark until it was destroyed by fire in 1978. Today Little Italy occupies much of that space within downtown Evansville while shops line North First Street between Second Avenue and Third Avenue NW; these streets are also known locally as “Besant Row” because many of Besant’s businesses were located there before they moved uptown into larger buildings at 1101 N First St., later renamed Park Plaza Center after her death in 1986. Evansville experienced several waves of Nazism during World War II with local residents being forced into slave labor camps operated by Nazi Germany across central Indiana including working aboard concentration camp ships like "Auschwitz" or " Buchenwald". Additionally some people who were not directly involved with war efforts but were supportive of Nazis or those who subscribed to their ideology escaped detection by living among non-Jewish civilians until they were eventually caught or killed during Operation Paperclip which targeted selection groups of individuals deemed valuable enough for deportation back into Nazi Germany including some citizens from EvansVILLE

Evansville is a city in and the county seat of Vanderburgh County, Indiana, United States. The population was 909 at the 2010 census. Evansville is the largest city in Vanderburgh County by population size. The history of Evansville can be traced back to 1824 when John Evans founded the town on land he purchased from Pierre Lacrosse. In 1827, Evansville became one of twelve original towns in Posey County. On April 1, 1828, it was made a part of then-Vanderburgh County. In 1846, the town charter was amended to allow for a Baptist church and school as well as an hotel and store complex called "The Star". The first post office opened in 1848 and continued operating until 1865. In 1907, construction began on what would become known as the "Great Northern Railway" line through Evansville. This rail line would provide transportation for settlers moving into central Indiana from Illinois and Ohio during the early 1900s. The railroad helped spur economic development in Evansville and other parts of rural Vanderburgh County. By 1920, much of this infrastructure had been built and that year saw the opening of what is now known as downtown Evansville with its four blocks of commercial buildingsAlong with two banks (the First National Bank and Jenssen's Drug Store), many restaurantsand bars were established during this time period including The Crawdad Hut which still stands today near Third Street South And West Avenue South
