Gun targets have a long and rich history in Connersville, Indiana. The first Targets were opened in 1894 by J.W. Pennington and his father-in-law, Frank Ritchie. The company continued to operate until 1978 when it was merged with another local business, the American Gunnery Company. In 1978, American Gunnery also became the first business to receive a permit from the United States Patent and Trademark Office to sell firearms at its target range. Today, American Gunnery operates as a gunsales operation with its own store on Park Street in Connersville. The Targets are among the most popular shooting venues in Connersville and across the country because of their unique design - they are made out of heavy wood that is allowed to rust (a process that helps improve accuracy). They come complete with an instruction booklet that tells shooters how to use their targets safely and with success. The Targets have been used for events such as rifle matches, shotguns matches, pistol matches, air rifles tournaments, etc., since they were designed. Connersville is a small town in southern Indiana, United States. The population was 5,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Connersville-Hemphill, Indiana Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in Connersville was John Conner who came to the area in 1814. He set up a log cabin on the banks of the Wabash River and named it "New Beginnings". Other early settlers included Isaac Smith and James Fenton. In 1825, Captain Ebenezer Cook arrived with his family and built a house on what is now Main Street. Cook operated a sawmill and gristmill in Connersville for many years. He also operated a store which closed in 1925. In 1860, Reverend Jephtha Henneman moved to Connersville from Terre Haute,Indiana and started preaching at the First Methodist Church. In 1865 he organized what became known as the "Good Shepherd Gospel Union" which served as an educational center for new churches beginning in that year. Reverend Henneman founded several schools including: Holy Cross Academy (1868), Mount Olivet Baptist School (1875), Logansport Female Seminary (1892), Highland Park Male Seminary (1901) and AVM Bible School (1909). Reverend Henneman also helped found Grace Lutheran Church which would later become Stony Point Presbyterian Church. He was buried at Green Lawn Cemetery near his home until his death on December 3rd, 1955 after serving 43 years as Pastor of Grace LutheranChurch in Connersville The post office was established here on October 9th, 1873 by Samuel Morse with mail being delivered through Goshen to Terre Haute along with goods brought overland from Illinois such as flour and cattle products In 1907 Drury's Drug Company opened its doors here providing much needed access to medications not available through more traditional pharmacies After World War II there were major changes taking place within America including an increase in immigration bringing people from all over Europe during this time period In 1951 floods destroyed most of the downtown business district leaving only 4 buildings left standing today TheFlood Museum opened up shop inside one of those buildings becomingdefunct but reopened fulltime in 2006 after being purchased by nearby Pella Municipal Utility District By 1970 almost every industry had either gone out of business or been replaced by more automated technologies so much so that downtown connserville had essentially become ghost town status

Today, Connerville is home to a number of businesses including a hospital as well as several schools including Notre Dame High School and Hendricks Jr./Sr High School which are both NCAA Division I schools.
The Connersville, Indiana area was first settled by the Conners brothers in 1786. The area became a town in 1827 and then a city in 1865. In 1916, the city of Connersville merged with the neighboring town of Westfield to form the present-day Indianapolis metropolitan area.
