The company continued to produce t-shirts until 1971 when they merged with Unigine Corporation. In 1979, Dockers partnered with Levi’s to create the first ever T-shirt design contest which won them a contract to manufacture T-shirts for both brands. Dockers would continue their partnership with Levi’s until 2005 when they discontinued production due to loss of market share and competition from Nike and other companies. In 1983, Scholastic Incorporated began producing T-shirts in Brownsburg,Indiana. Scholastic continues to make t-shirts today and produces specific designs for schools across the United States including National Geographic campaigns as well as special events such as Super Bowl halftime shows. In 1984, Northwest Arkansas firm Nomex began manufacturing T shirts in Brownsburg under the name “Nomex Athletic Supply”. The company produced high quality tee shirts that were popular among athletes throughout America during this time period. Nomex would merge with several other firms before closing its doors in 2003 citing financial difficulties.$1 million worth of assets were lost at this point.$5 million worth of liabilities also disappeared at this point which resulted in bankruptcy for Nomex Athletic Supply Company$1 million dollars was saved by their creditors after it all went bad

Brownsburg is a town located in Jasper County, Indiana, United States. The population was 1,573 at the 2010 census. The town was named for General John Brown and his family. The first settler in what is now Brownsburg was Nathan Cooley in 1814. He and his family were among the original 8 settlers who founded Jasper County. In 1825, James Fenton arrived from Kentucky with his wife and four children. They became the first white people to live in what is now Brownsburg when they set up a cabin on the present site of Jefferson Elementary School. A post office called Brownsburg was established in 1827, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1903. It was moved to its current location on Main Street near the intersection of Ulysses S Porter Road about 1900. The first school building in what is now Brownsburgwas constructed by Wm Hennessey & Son near the intersection of West State Street and Main Street around 1860-61 under contract from The Methodist Episcopal Church of Indianapolis (TECH). Initial enrollment for this school included students from surrounding communities including Derby, Lawrenceville, Noblesville, etc., but soon enough other schools were built nearby and coverage gradually increased to include all of Jasper County as well as parts of neighboring Thumb and Willamette Counties until annexation by Indianapolis made Brownsburg an official municipal village on January 1, 1909. On November 3rd 1912 citizens of Indianapolis met at Municipal Hall to elect a new town board that would manage development within their boundaries while still adhering to certain constitutional guidelines set forth by Mayor Jens Weidner which had been negotiated during earlier meetings between Mayor Weidner and various Indian leaders at Fort Harrison across the river in Terre Haute Indiana where similar decisions had been reached regarding land purchases by both groups on behalf of future villages being established within their respective areas

Brownsburg is a small city in the greater Indianapolis metropolitan area, located in the southern portion of Marion County. The population was 14,533 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Indianapolis–Marion county Combined Statistical Area. The first permanent settler in what became Brownsburg was James Walthall, who arrived in 1814. He and his family were pioneer farmers, growing corn and other crops on their farmstead that stretched from present-day Dearborn Street east to Elm Street and west to White River Avenue. A post office called Brownsburg was established in 1827, but no townspeople moved there until 1830 when John Denton erected a log cabin on what is now White River Avenue. Denton named his new community for General Jackson's forces that had destroyed Fort Hays during the Mexican-American War. The first school in Brownsburg opened in 1836 under teacher Elijah McCoy; it was closed due to lack of students soon after its opening. In 1840, Alexander McKay built a gristmill on present day Granger Road which became one of the largest mills in central Indiana; it continued operation until 1904. In 1860, three brothers – John Prentice (1837-1901), William (1841-1922) and Hiram Prentice (1846-1920) – founded a cotton gin near present day LaPorte Road/Cleveland Boulevard; it remained open until 1914 when it caught fire and burned down. In 1870, Brothers Prentice donated land for an Episcopal church which served as both a local landmark and primary educational institution for local children up through grade 12 before being sold off to private owners or being demolished; today's First Baptist Church building stands on this donated property along with two contributing buildings from Brother Prentice's mill complex: the warehouse (now used as an industrial storage facility) and smelter building (now used as offices). Since its founding by Brothers Prentice, Brownsburg has been home to many notable people including prominent educator Elijah McCoy Carver Sr., businessman Harry Blythe Jr., football coach Amos Alonzo Staggs, entrepreneur Maurice Sendak and musician Kenny Loggins
The Brownsburg area was first settled by the Potawatomi Indians in the early 1800s. The town was founded on the banks of the White River, which flows through the town. The first post office in Brownsburg was established in 1814. In 1828, Brownsburg became a town charter and residents voted to rename it after General Andrew Jackson. In 1906, Brownsburg changed its name to Indianapolis and it has since been renamed as Brownsburg, Indiana.
