Other notable businesses that have been located in or around Beech Grove include Tractor Supply Company (now menards), JBL Audio/Video, Wm Cone Ford & Sons Auctioneers and Auto Parts Plus. Beech Grove has a public school system with four schools: one elementary school and three middle schools; one high school; and two adult education programs which offer classes for adults aged 25 years or older as well as classes for children ages 7 through 12th grade. The town also has its ownTwin Cities Credit Union which opened on December 15th of 2006 serving the community by providing a wide variety of products including checking account services, mortgage lending and other financial services available to members of the community as well as members of surrounding communities such as Cleveland-Wilmington

Beech Grove is a small town located in Huntington County, Indiana, United States. The population was 1,564 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Statistical Area. The township was organized on November 5, 1837, from parts of Merrill and Poseytownships. The first settler in Beech Grove was James Denny. He established a logging camp on the east side of the creek near what is now Beech Grove Elementary School. In 1865, William Hines built a log cabin on what is now Elmwood Drive in Beech Grove Township. Hines became known as "the Father of Beech Grove". In 1868 he married Anna Matson and they started their own home improvement business called "Hines Bros., Furniture Masons and Flooring Dealers". From here they grew their business into one of the largest home improvement firms in Indiana until it closed its doors in 1984.
Beech Grove was founded in 1812 by George Beech and his wife, Jane. The town was named after a beech tree that stood on the original site. In 1836, the first post office was established in Beech Grove. By 1840, the population of Beech Grove had grown to over 100 people. In 1847, Beech Grove became a part of the newly created West Liberty Township. In 1870, Beech Grove incorporated as a city and began to grow rapidly. By 1880, the population of Beech Grove had reached 1,500 people. In 1902, Beech Grove became an independent municipality and adopted its own government system. The following year saw significant growth when the city built its first municipal building and opened its doors to residents. In 1916, BeechGrove annexed neighboring communities of Lawrenceburg and Monmouth Heights into its boundaries. This enlargement helped spur further growth within the city limits which reached 2,000 people by 1920. In 1933, during World War II, BeechGrove served as one of five cities within Indiana chosen to participate in the National Recovery Administration (NRA). During this time period, Bellaire also joined forces with BeECHgrove in developing new industries related to military production such as aircraft manufacturing and shipbuilding; these activities helped contribute to rapid economic expansion within both towns during wartime timescales
