When Terre Haute annexed parts of nearby Edwardsville in 1907, much of this area also came within Indianapolis' boundaries; however many streets in downtown TerreHaute still continue southwesterly past current city limits into Indianapolis proper (e.g., Wabash Avenue). Today there are only a few scattered remnants remaining from those days: two blocks north of Statehouse Drive between Meridian Street and First National Bank Plaza; just east side Second National Bank Building across Meridian Street from Warehouse No 2); south side First National Bank Building across Meridian Street from Warehouse No 4) These last four buildings still stand today but have been combined with other structures forming One block Eastside at Third National Bank building which fronts onto Marshall Road/Southport Boulevard
