In 1916, Fenton Bros., successor to Goudreau's Guns and Ammo merged with Cockerill & Wesson Firearms Company (later Colt). This merger led to the creation of Colt Corporation which continued to operate as a separate company until 2000 when it merged with Winchester Arms Corporation. Today, Colt continues to sell firearms through its own divisions including Jim Eagle Group (Eagle Rifle Sales), Government Gun Sales (Guns for Law Enforcement), Heritage Arms Sales (Rifles/ammunition/firearms accessories), Classic Arms Sales (Action Sports Gear), Custom Shop Armory(Custom Builds/Ammunition/Firearm Accessories) and American Outdoor Brands Holdings Inc.(Outdoor Sports Equipment). Additionally, Colt sells components from other firearm manufacturers through their subsidiary Midwest Manufacturing Company LLC. In addition to rifle sales alone there are efforts underway by Colt along with other companies within the revolver industry under the banner "The Revolver Project" which aims at bringing traditional revolvers back into production in order to capitalize on current trends in revolver design - this includes plans for new models such as Glock 23 pistols and Smith & Wesson M&P Shield revolvers as well as updates for older models like the 686 Magnum revolver.

Avon is a small town in the state of Indiana, United States. The population was 1,813 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Indianapolis metropolitan area. The town was founded in 1859 by John Avon and his family. It was named for an incident that took place there in 1818 when General Andrew Jackson's forces were besieging Fort Wayne. A group of men who had been drinking near the fort became involved in a fight with the soldiers, and one man, John Avon, died as a result. In 1865, John Avon's son-in-law Emmett Gilmore purchased land in what is now Avon from William Henry Harrison. Gilmore built a sawmill and general store on his property which he called "The Gables". In 1868, he married Anna Belle Sellers and they started to build a house on their new land. The first Boomtown Hotel opened its doors on December 1st 1870. During World War I, avon produced munitions for American forces fighting abroad such as artillery shells and machine guns; however no military action occurred within the town itself during that conflict other than commemorative events like Veterans Day Parade (1917) or May Day Rally (1922). However following World War II avon experienced rapid growth due to booming industry related jobs; this led to increased development around town including some high rise buildings such as The Gables apartment complex which still stands today looking back over downtown with stunning views of Monmouth County beyond. In recent years residential development has taken hold with many homes popping up along Old Glenn Road just outside of town limits making it easy to get around without ever having to leave your front porch again!

Avon, Indiana has been a part of the United States since 1781. The town was founded by James Avon and his wife, Sarah. It is located in west-central Indiana on the Ohio River. At its peak, Avon had a population of about 25,000 people and was one of the largest towns in central Indiana. However, today it has a population of just under 10,000 people and is known for its agricultural production. In 1814, the United States Congress passed a bill establishing a territorial government for what is now West Virginia. In response to this move by Congress, James Avon organized an expedition to explore the area and select a site for new settlements. He considered several locations including present-day Avon but decided on the location he saw on the riverbank as being most promising. He named his new settlement after himself –Avon County – and began construction on his original home (now known as Old Fort) in 1815. The town grew rapidly during this time and by 1830 had reached its current size with over 20 businesses operating within its walls. By 1840, however, growth slowed due to competition from other nearby communities such as Terre Haute (then called Vincennes) and Notre Dame (then called Mishawaka). However, by 1850 Avon had regained some of its former stature as a center for trade and industry when it becamethe first county seat in east-central Indiana. This success led to increased business opportunities forAvon County residents and helped make it one of the most prosperous counties in central Indiana during that era. During World War II (1941-1945), many avonians served in our military including members from both World War I (1914-18)and World War II (1941-1945). Many Memorial Day services are held here at Old Fort where many veterans rest today following their service to our country
