In 1875, Dodge Brothers Arms merged with another company, Colt & Butler Manufacturing Company, to form Colt Firearms Corporation. Colt Firearms Corporation continued manufacturing weapons until 1911 when it was acquired by Winchester Repeating Arms Company. With Winchester Repeating Arms Company ownership came increased production of firearms and more variety in terms of design than ever before. During World War I (1914-18), many Americans decided to get involved in the war effort. Many people bought rifles or shotguns in order to participate in the war effort either through volunteering or purchasing them on behalf of their friends or families. Pistol barrels were also purchased in large quantities for use with pistols during World War I because cannons were not available with any type of barrel that was long enough for effective shooting at a distance

Avon was founded in 1814 by James Avon and his brother-in-law Daniel Webster as a small log cabin on the banks ofthe White River. Over time it grew into an agricultural community with more than 100 businesses and 3 churches. In 1962, Avon became one of fourteen townships in Randolph County to be organized into a district under the new Localgovernment Code. In 1984, Avon became one of three villages in Randolph County when it merged with neighboring Westville Village to form the town of Westville Village-Avon Township merger. In 2002, it again merged with neighboring Uniontown to form the town of Uniontown-Avon Township merger. On July 1, 2007, all five villages within Uniontown-Avon Township merge into one municipality - Avon Municipal Association (AMA). Today, Avon is a thriving community known for its beautiful landscape and friendly people who enjoy spending time there during any season!

Today there are many types of ammunition available that can be fired from various types of firearms, including rifles and pistols both big bore and small bore calibers alike!

Avon, Indiana is a small town located in Pence County, Indiana on the banks of the Wabash River. The population was 3,711 at the 2000 census. Avon began as an agricultural community in 1827. In 1840, it became a town and was renamed after Avon-in-the-Hills, England. The town developed into a major manufacturing center during the late 19th century, thanks to its production of hats and other clothing products. In 1916, Avon merged with neighboring towns of Newton and Peru to form the new city of Avon. The merger led to increased competition between the two Towns for jobs and housing; however, this rivalry turned into cooperation during World War II when both cities worked together to produce munitions for the Allied cause. After the war ended, Avon reverted back to its original name - Avon Village - until it was again renamed in 1986 following a request from then Mayor John Kappelman. Today,Avon is known for its shopping district along State Street called "The Square."
