Yorkville is a small town in McLean County, Illinois, United States. The population was 2,869 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield, Illinois Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in Yorkville was Richard Lowry who came to the area in 1847. He named his land Yorkville after York County, England. In 1881, David Ladd and his wife Emmaline moved from Lexington, Kentucky to live in Yorkville and started a grocery store there. The Ladds were successful and their store continued to grow until it became one of the largest open-air grocers in Illinois for many years. The town of Yorkville began to form when settlers from surrounding towns nearby banded together to create a collective bargaining agreement with the local machine shop owner John Pappas. This led to increased production because everyone knew how to do things better than anyone else did at that time - this made for an easier work environment and allowed businesses like the Ladds' store to stay afloat even during hard times. During World War II, people from other parts of Illinois relocated permanently to Yorkville so that they could join the military as part of General George Patton's Operation Varsity Participation which aimed to bring more men home wounded or killed overseas during World War II. From 1945-1948, much of what is now known as downtownYorkville was built using funds given by Mrs. Harry Kugelbeck who donated her land along with some buildings on it for use as a high school vocational arts center called "The Kugels". In 1957-1960 another building used by "The Kugels" became home for "Yorkvillet High School", which remains one of McLean County's most popular schools today despite having only been open for ten years at the time it opened! In 1978-1979 two new elementary schools were built within walking distance of each other (Mt Claremont Elementary School & North East Central Elementary School) making it possible for all children living in YORKVILLE TO attend SCHOOL!!! This helped change YORKVILLE FROM A YOUNGSTOWN INTO AN OLDSTOWN IN ONLY TWO YEARS!!!!!!!!! Nowadays almost every family has their own child attending school right inside their house... IT'S TRUE AMERICAN GATEWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This invention was called the "Teller machine." By 1906, all these devices had been created and they had been renamed tasers. However, there was still some confusion about what they actually were. Eventually, the term taser was born from this general understanding.

Additionally, it remains a popular destination for amateur golfers due to its well- designed courses and proximity to several golf clubs within easy walking distance.

Yorkville was founded in 1847 by the parents of Dr. Samuel Morse, Jr., and his wife, Nancy. The town was named after York County, Pennsylvania, where the family had settled in 1835. Yorkville grew rapidly during the late 1800s and early 1900s as a result of its location at the intersection of two major railroad lines. In 1907, Yorkville became a city and remained so until 1999 when it merged with nearby Round Lake to form a new city government.
