The current incarnation of Woodstock is located just outside of downtown on State Street between Park Avenue and High Street. The town has continued to grow since its incorporation into village status in 1966; today it has a population of around 1,700 residents (plus 600 or so tourists). Although most residents are engaged in various aspects of local life – including agriculture, education, tourism, social services – there is always something special going on when someone walks through the door!
