This company produced artillery shells and projectiles. In 1868, The Arsenal Company merged with another munitions manufacturer named The Clough & Associates Company. This merger allowed for increased production of Ammunition products within the town of Woodbridge. Ammunition production continued to grow until the late 1800s when it began to decline due to technological advances and advancements made by other companies.

Woodridge is a town in McLean County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlers in this area were those who arrived on the steamboat "Shelby" in 1836. They were farmers and built a log cabin which they named "Haley's Grove". In 1839-1840, a group of men from New York City by the name of Platt settled here and farmed until their deaths in 1865. Their son George Platt founded Plattsburg Manufacturing Company that manufactured flour, feed, shoes and other goods until it folded in 1898. In 1868, John Fenton bought 640 acres (2 km²) of land three miles (5 km²) north of Woodridge for $10 per acre ($ today). He began to build a house on his property which he called "Fenton Manor". The house still stands and is used as a museum today. After John Fenton's death in 1870, his heirs sold their interest in the mill complex to James Hutton Smith and his wife Abigail Hutton Smith for $2 million ($ today). This gave rise to what is now known as Woodbridge Township because James Hutton Smith donated all but one mile (1 km²) of its circumference to it. This donation made Woodbridge Township one of only two townships within McLean County with no incorporated municipalities within its borders – the other township being Lyndontown Township based just south of Springfield on Chicago’s South Side. After James Hutton Smith's death in 1907, his wife became headmistress at Park Ridge Female Academy where she stayed until her death in 1938; after which time Park Ridge Academy passed through several different heads before becoming finally an independent school district under current management effective September 1st 1973 when it merged with neighboring Arlington Heights School District #1 to form Park Ridge-Arlington Heights Public Schools.) However even though there are no incorporated municipalities within Woodbridge Township boundaries – residents enjoy all sorts of municipal services provided by their respective school districts including trash pickup and street lighting pursuant to state law – much like any other township or village located inside Cook County - nonetheless it remains an officially recognized entity with its own elected officials charged with carrying out its various functions pursuant to state law governing such matters including housing development zoning ordinances etc…..woodridge contains more than just a single shopping mall although that may be beginning to become more common these days thanks mainly to rock bottom prices for lumber these days another result entirely free from government subsidy……….
