Ar15 upper receivers are a type of military rifle that was designed and produced in Wood River, Illinois. The rifle is known for its accuracy and durability. It has been used by the United States Military for over 50 years. The rifles were developed in the early 1960s by Eugene Stoner and his team at Smith & Wesson. They were first used in the Vietnam War, where they were successful in providing accurate fire from long distances. After the war, they became popular among American soldiers throughout Southern Europe and Asia. In 1970, President Nixon announced plans to replace all combat rifles with AR-15s as the new standard for infantry weapons throughout the U.S. Army. This led to the production of millions of Ar15 upper receivers across America, including many in Wood River village. As this type of weapon gained popularity, so did wood stock versions of the rifle which increased its stability and accuracy while still remaining affordable to buy and operate on a regular basis within American homes/ communities alike (Galloway 1990).
Ar15 upper receivers, or “upper” receivers, are the most common type of rifle in the United States. They are typically made from aluminum and polymer, with a variety of features and attachments available to users. Upper receivers come in both semiautomatic (semi-automatic rifles that fire only one shot per trigger pull) and automatic (automatic rifles that fire multiple rounds per trigger pull) varieties. These guns can be used for hunting or target shooting, and are often fitted with stocks, optics, and other accessories to improve their performance. The ar15 upper receiver is built on the same platform as other firearms such as shotguns and handguns. It is a tube-like design that is usually round in shape but can also be square or hexagonal depending on its function. The barrel is typically attached to the upper receiver by a metal band/slot system called an M16 bolt carrier group. This group travels along the inside of the tube before being connected to the gun's firing pin via a threaded hole at its front end. Upper receivers come in several different types of material and finishes: black oxide steel (BOS), chrome molybdenum phosphate (CMPM), stainless steel (SS), 416R stainless steel (.40 S&W caliber), 513R5 carbon fiber coated Remington 870 barrels (.308 Winchester caliber), 6 Creedmoor NATO chambering (.223 Remington), 556 NATO chambering (.223 Remington) - among others. Some companies offer lower receivers only; these must be converted to work with an Ar15 upper including all its parts.
The rifle designation "ar15" is registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as a word mark of Colt Firearms, Inc. The first rifles chambered in this caliber were built by Colt in 1887. The design was based on the Model 1885 Springfield rifle.
The Wood River Valley is a long, narrow valley located in southern Illinois. The valley forms the eastern border of the county of McLean and its western border is the state of Indiana. The main river that flows through this area is the Wood River. The name "Wood River" comes from two different sources - one by Indians and another by early settlers. The first account mentioned a large wood near present day Mount Prospect, Illinois which was used for logging purposes. However, most likely the name originated with early European explorers who noted that the wood ran along both banks of the river. One such explorer, James Krieger, named what he saw as the "Woody Branch" in 1795 because of its natural beauty. After some time, other pioneers renamed various parts of the stream after people or places they knew or were familiar with - for example, Johnstown (named after John Whitehead), Lisle (named after Isaac Lincoln), Mount Prospect (named after George Washington) and Warsaw (after Polish king Jan III Sobieski). In 1818, Congress passed a bill authorizing President Andrew Jackson to complete his sidewinding route across America on his way to make an invasion against Mexico. As part of this authorization, Jackson ordered Major Elijah Holmes to select a site for what would become known as Oak Harbor on Goose Creek in southwestern Cook County. When completed in 1825-26, it became one of Jackson's largest infrastructure projects and marked an important step forward in American history. Because Oak Harbor lay just east of where present day Chicago stands today, it played an important role during later Development years including being home to both Sears Tower and Willis Tower as well as having ample room for expansions should either have been built at either location simultaneously or separately over time!

With advances in technology through gunsmithing, engineering, manufacturing processes, and component selection; there are now many variations on AR15 upper receivers available on the market today including: airsoft guns, precision shot guns/rifles (5th gen), hunting rifles (7mm), target rifles (6x39mm), pump shotguns (12gauge), revolvers (9mm Luger) and pistols chambered for various cartridges like .45 ACP/.40 S&W etc. There are even variants available for just about any type of handgun you could dream up! All these changes have come about because people want better performance from their firearms - whether that's improved lethality or easier access to those same firearms they love!

The native tribe that received Europe's initial settlers was the Potawatomi. They were eventually displaced by European groups, and over time their land was taken away and given to other tribes. Eventually, the Potawatomi banded together and established themselves in a location that is today known as Wood River. The area served as a base of operations for many raids on other tribes and settlements in the region. Eventually, the Potawatomi relocated to another location and died out. The original settlers who founded Wood River were primarily Englishmen who traveled downriver from Michigan. In 1814, they settled at what is now Moline on the banks of the Illinois River. Here, they began to cultivate crops and build homes. They soon started trading with local tribes and establishing relationships with them which would later play an important role in their success as farmers. The community gradually grew larger over time and became known as a hub for trade along the river system. Trade goods such as corn, flour, cattle, horses, tobacco products and potatoes all passed through Wood River before reaching their destination downstream or northward into Canada or Ohio respectively. The town also became home to various businesses including a shipyard which manufactured wooden vessels used throughout America during this period- something that continues to be celebrated today!
The Wood River was a navigable stream in Illinois that ran south from the foot of the Great Lakes to its confluence with the Mississippi River. The river was one of the original three rivers that formed the state of Illinois.
