For example, Russian Federation has an extremely tight grip on firearms ownership; only 1% of citizens are allowed any type of weapon other than pistols and rifles (which must be registered with government). As such, any Gun Rights advocates operating within Russia face significant challenges both politically and legally."

With annexation came increased taxes and regulations which led to a decline in business activity throughout much of Wood Dale beginning in the late 1950s and continuing into the early 1960s. However, due to local support for Mayor Richard Jaffe during his successful run for re-election in 1964 against then incumbent Harold Washington (D), Wood Dale regained some vitality over time as businesses reopened and new residents moved into town from other parts of Cook County. In recent years there has been an increase in boxwood tree planting along Clear Lake because it helps reduce water use by preventing erosion from occurring on nearby roadsides which can result in less runoff for irrigation purposes; this practice also helps improve air quality because boxwoods are deciduous trees that produce no flowers until they reach maturity. While many people still live near their agricultural roots, wooddale has seen resurgence since becoming one of Chicagoland’s most vibrant communities

After decades of decline, however, Wood Dale's population has declined since the 1990s due to declining economic activity and negative demographics changes in adjacent areas such as Park Ridge and Gresham Heights
