Scope mounts (also called bipod mounts) are devices that allow a rifle to be mounted on the back of a tactical vehicle or personnel carrier. The purpose of a scope mount is to provide an increase in accuracy and shooting range for the rifle. There are two types of scope mounts: universal and military style. A universal scope mount is designed to fit any firearm, while a military stylescope mount typically fits only certain rifles, such as the M4A1 carbine. Scope mounts come in different configurations, depending on the type of vehicle or soldier you will want to shoot with your rifle in. Scope mounts have been around since World War II, when soldiers needed an easier way to get their rifles onto vehicles. At first, these were simply circles that would rotate on pegs so they could be oriented correctly when firing from behind a tank or armored personnel carrier (APC). Scope mounts are a type of mount that attaches to the barrel of a rifle, allowing the user to place an optic directly on the barrel. Scope mounts come in many different shapes and sizes, with a variety of attachment points for various rifles. Some scope mounts also include adjustable turrets and optics. The first scope mount was developed in 1876 by George Stephenson and patented as US Patent No. 514,827. The original scope mount consisted of a circular armature made from brass or ironclad plates that were screwed into the barrel breech face above the gas block. This type ofscope mount allowed shooters to place an objective onto either side of the bore using two circles that pivoted at their respective pivot points when tightened around the barrel tube (Figure 1). By 1907, both centerfire rifles and shotguns had become popular, so manufacturers began to develop more complex scopes mounts designed specifically for those platforms (Figure 2). In 1935, Browning introduced its own drop-in Sonar-type scope mount which became known as the BSA 011A (Figure 3). The BSA 011A utilized four round rings that could be attached to four slots in the top lug on each side of the turret housing (Figure 4). With this design, shooters could raise or lower their rifle with just one hand while aiming at targets way out in front! Today's Scope Mount technologies vary significantly from those used during World War II; however, most modern scopes mounts share some common characteristics including: multiple attachment points for various rifles; adjustable turrets and optics; and easy installation/removal withoutTools. As technology continues to advance, it is likely that more innovative mounting solutions will be developed which will allow users greater flexibility when targeting specific objects within their firearmsmanuals manuals!

Wheeling is an unincorporated community in Kane County, Illinois, located on the west side of the Chicago River. The population was 9,471 at the 2010 census. The first people to live in Wheeling were the Potawatomi and Pottawatomie. The first white settlers arrived in 1836 when John Morse moved from Maryland with his family. He founded a small farm near what is now known as Masonic Square. In 1837, he marriedMary Ann Howland and they began to move around the area looking for land to settle. They finally decided on a farm that would become Wheeling. By 1840, there were about 10 families living in Wheeling. In 1847, a group of Methodist Episcopal missionaries came to Wheeling and started the First Methodist Church there. The town quickly became popular for its proximity toChicago and its many mills and factories which produced everything from cloth to shoes and furniture. In 1870, Mayor Julius Caesar organized a fire department which helped make Wheeling one of the most safe cities in America during the early days of railroad travel. During World War II, Wheeling played an important role as both an airfield and munitions manufacturing center due to its location just south of Chicago on both sides of the river between Cook County (now Kane County) and DuPage County (now IL). Some notable products manufactured here include B-29 bombers used by USAAF during WWII; Jeep production at Willow Run Arsenal; General Electric's Strathmore factory which built antennas for TV sets during WW2; Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works division responsible for developing many advanced aircraft including missiles such as Star Wars wheeled also home to Chalet Village Racquetball Center until it closed in 2006 wheeled has seen significant redevelopment over recent years with new housing developments being erected along with several restaurants/bars/nightlife venues
