He donated some of his acreage to be used for school purposes and named it after himself – Wheaton Academy (now Northwestern University). In 1868, he donated another 400 acres (the present-day campus) to become what is now known asWheaton College. Wheaton is a small town with a population size smaller than 5,000 people today. It has always been an important community because it had strong industrial roots dating back to the early 1800s when local farmers produced flour and other goods for local markets. A Holder holds a target and directs its fire so that it hits the target. There are a variety of holder designs, but all work best with certain types of targets. Here is a brief history of shooting target holders: The first shooting target holders were made from metal or wood. They were simple devices that held atarget anddirected its fire so that it hit the target. The wooden holders were not very successful, due to their weakness in direct sunlight. Metal shooters started using Targets as Shooting Holders in the 1940s. These Holders could be attached to rifles by using screws, nuts, or bolts. In this way, shooters could move the Target around while they fired at it from different positions. This led to development of later Holder designs which used magnets instead of screws or bolts to hold Targets in place (see photo below). In 1953, Shoei created a new type of Holder which was called “Shoei-Gumo” . This Holder was designed specifically for use with Japanese Archers . It featured two opposed handles which allowed Archers to grip and aim at their targets with ease . The main benefit of these Holders was that they allowedArchers to shoot multiple shots at theirTarget at once without having to remove it each time Later on , Shootergroup developed an improved version of this Holder called “Shogun” which featured three opposed handles and came equipped with an adjustable scope mount This new Holder allowed shooters to position their Target at various angles in order to maximize accuracy Today there are many different types of Shooting Target Holders available on the market, some being more advanced than others .
