The first store opened up inWestmont on October 15th 1857 by Ulysses S Grant (1824-1885). They were known as the “Grant Store” because Ulysses S Grant was President at the time they opened up shop. This store had one product that would continue to be popular today - Winchester rounds! The Winchester round was invented by George Stephenson in 1836 and became very popular due to its accuracy and low recoil whenfired off a firearm. The company continued to sell ammunition until they closed down on May 1st 1912 due to lack of demand from customers or competition from other stores who had opened up during this time period(TM). Our next stop on our ammo journey was the Armoury Armory located on South Main Street in Westmont just before WWII began . This armory stored munitions for both World War I and II including artillery shells, machine guns, mortars, rifles etc.. When the war ended they turned over all their weapons storage supplies & equipment to the Illinois National Guard which now uses it as a museum/research center! Check out their website for more information about this fascinating historical site! After WWII there wasn't much need for ammo anymore so most of it went out of business over time(TM). However one company did keep going - J H C Moore Company ! J H C Moore Company started making bullets back in 1868 under licence from Hardinge & Co.(UK) They continued making bullets until 1935 when they decided not to bring any new products into production because of changing military technology which made them obsolete !! It wasn't until 1892 that the first cannons were brought into town and started firing off rounds of powder. The townspeople soon realized that this ammo could be used to shoot at other people as well, so they decided to start manufacturing their own cannonballs. Ammunition products started becoming available in Westmont in 1898 and since then, the town has been producing its own rounds of ammunition for all sorts of purposes including self-defense, hunting, and target shooting.

Westmont is a small town in Cook County, Illinois. It was founded in 1837 by Isaac West and his family. The community became a city in 1957. In 2016, the population of Westmont was estimated to be about 11,500 people. Westmont is located in the southeastern quadrant of Cook County on the banks of the Chicago River. It is bordered by North Racine to the east, Northwest Side to the north, and Kaneohe Bay to the west. The Chicago River forms its eastern border. The first settler in what would become Westmont was Isaac West and his family who arrived from New York City in 1837. They built their home on land that they donated to the village of Westmont as part of a larger land donation made by Isaac West and his wife Sarah Jane Shawell in 1839-40. The name "Westmont" was chosen because it coincided with another small village then being developed near where they lived - Whiteerton - which also had its name based on Mountweston (now Washington Park). The first school serving students within what would become Westmountton opened for instruction on January 26th, 1840 under teacher Ebenezer Richardson. A second school building was constructed next door soon after but it closed due to financial difficulties; this building still stands today as part of North High School's campus complex adjacent to First National Bank Building (now Wells Fargo Center). In 1845-46 James Walthall served as an instructor at North High School before joining John Drexel Academy as assistant professor of mathematics and science at Temple University where he taught until 1861 when he resigned citing religious reasons; he later moved back to America and joined Drexel again teaching until 1870 when he retired due to ill health at age sixty-eight years old having amassed an extensive library including over one thousand books! During James Walthall's time at Temple University there were also two industrial plants established here: one operated by Elisha Gray & Sons [founded 1798] producing flour for local breadmaking businesses while another run by Jno.[citation needed] both operations ceased production around 1915 however some evidence suggests that these plants may have continued operations into 1916 or 1917 thanks to help received from George Eastman Company following World War I . James Walthall left Temple University with an impressive collection oflibrary materials which included 1,000 books! Post-war era saw many changes take place within academiasuch as electronic publishing becoming popularized during this time leading directlyto increased competition for university resources which ultimately ledto JamesWalthall's library being digitized! In addition to steel manufacturing Aaron Burratta began a pottery factory early 1800s near present day Union Station[1], this factory produced porcelain dishes and other ceramic products until 1914 when it closed duewitnessing increasing demand from domestic consumers choosing instead new technology such as pre-washed plastic cups which became available during this period! After losing many customers over this decision Burratta reopened his factory under new management providing employment for up TO 30 workers through 1924 however it too closed several decades later eventually sold off piecemeal throughoutthe late 20th century!! Today most residents are affiliated with nearby Catholic schools such as Our Lady Help Of Christians Parish School District 547 or Stritch School District 592 though public schools are still received here occasionally along with extracurricular activities like soccer, basketball etc.; there has been recent talk among parents about creating neighborhood libraries but no decisions have yet been made! There have been several major renovations/construction projects carried outwithin current boundariesof Westmountton since its incorporation including: construction ofNorthwest Side high school (1957), remodeling/renovationof Central Avenue Business District(1964), additions/remodelingofthe Josephine Street Baptist Church(1991), renovation/replacementoftheschoolhouseat355 Saginaw Road(2002)] overall development has caused quite some wear & tear on infrastructure however all residents remain supportive & accommodating despite occasional challenges!"
