Westchester, Illinois is a small town in the southern portion of Illinois. The population was 11,890 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Westchester is bordered by Lake Michigan to the north and east, Cook County to the south, and Kane County to the west. The name "Westchester" has been around since 1824 when it was given as a gift from Baron Heckell von Westphalen to Colonel Solomon Eaton of New York City. In 1847, General George Armstrong Custer rode through Westchester on his way from Chicago to Oswego Hills in upstate New York after encountering Native Americans for the first time. The name stuck and many people in that area have continued using it today. When it was settled by Europeans, parts of what is now Westchester were swampy areas that supported large populations of mosquitoes because there was no trees or other plants growing nearby. However, over time those areas became fertile land with rich soils that are good for farming. As far as roads go, only one road exists within town limits- Old Route 23 which goes northeasterly from downtown through woods to North Avenue nears White Sands Lake Harriet National Monument before turning easterly back into town limits again near Ridgway Airport (now Lindbergh Field). The opening of Interstate 70 made shopping easier for residents in neighboring towns such as Skokie and Winnetka who had to drive long distances each time they wanted something new or different. That changed when people began commuting into Westchester instead of driving out there each day like they had done before. Nowadays most people in town commute by bike or walking which has saved wear and tear on the roadsides due to traffic congestion caused by all these commuters coming into town every day! It's said that if you want something done well in life make sure you ask someone who has done it more than once - this is definitely true for things like getting things done in Westchester! There are plenty of residents who know how to get things done even if they don't always have an easy answer - just remember not everyone can be counted on! With advances in technology came also new methods for manufacturing Firearms, including muzzleloaderguns (a typeof shotgun) which led to mass shootings happening throughout history when individuals took advantage of this new technology simply because it offered advantages over other methods

The second courthouse located at 350 Main Street (now called Prospect Park) opened in 1836 and functioned as the county courthouse until 1925 when it burned down again! In 1851, President James Buchanan appointed Jeremiah Sullivan as Ulysses S Grant’s Special Agent for Indian Affairs inNew York City which led toSullivan movinghis family to Westchester County later that year! Jeremiah Sullivan also played an important rolein helpingto buildupWestchesterCountyduringtheCivilWar era! He contributed $10Kintothewar effortandservedasa brigadier general under GeneralUlysses S Grant from 1865-1869! During World War II, many businesses withinWestchesterCountywereinvolved in productionof munitions fortheUnited StatesArmy! Some notable companies include Haddon Chemical Company which manufactured chemicals for usein warfare; Empire Mfg Company which made radios/TV sets; Phelps Dodge Corporation which produced gasoline tanks; Mohawk Radio Manufacturing Company which manufactured radios/TV sets; New American Glass Works Inc., also known as “NAPA” company because their products were used by automakers like Chrysler and Ford; Peekskill Arsenal Ammunition Plant operated by Union Carbide Corporation; Girard Rubber & Tire Co.; Pomona Mills Inc.; etc.)
