On December 15th 1920 when Palatine Township merged with other townships within Cook County to form Forest Preserve District No., it lost all but 2% (3 out of 53) its resident population – again illustrating just how diverse early Weston College had become! One such event that occurred during this time period involved native son Jay Leno giving a commencement address from his suite at Trump Tower – an occasion captured by television journalist Don Regan on live national TV! TheVillageofWestchester was bordered by Cook County to the south; Will County to the north; and Douglas Park across State Street into Palatine Township

Westchester is a town in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 14,563 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Westchester was founded in 1847 as an agricultural community on the point where the Fox River met Lake Michigan. The first post office was established in 1848 and became part of Champaign County; it was moved to Westchester in 1872. The town's name derives from nearby Onondaga Hills, which are also called "the hills" because they look like mountains from a distance. One story says that early settler James Kapp assigned his cattle to be milked by a white woman named Sarah who lived near Onondaga Hillock and offered her service for free every day during summertime. When word got out about this offer, other farmers began offering their services as well and within two years, all of Westchester had become self-sufficient through agriculture alone. During the American Civil War (1861-1865), much of Kane County was used as military ground including Westchester where Union troops burned down homes and businesses on July 4th 1861 while celebrating General John Prentice's victory over Confederate general Robert Ewing at Moultrie Field south of Waterloo Village. The resulting fire destroyed many buildings in what is now downtown Champaign but not those located near Onondaga Hillock which still stand today - one reason why Onondaga Hills came to be known as "Westchester." In 1870, when Champaign County was organized into six townships (Champaign Township being the only unincorporated township), Westchester became one of those townships with its own post office and courthouse complex built on State Road 1 east of downtown Champaign. The population grew rapidly due to both farming and trade opportunities opened up after railroads arrived in Illinois during the late 1800s; by 1910, there were 11 stores and three churches open for business within walking distance of each other along State Road 1A north of downtown Champaign! A second courthouse complex followed soon thereafter on South Main Street between Elmhurst Avenue and Wilson Avenue southwest of downtown; this structure served as both Post Office Park Courthouse until 1976 when it was replaced by the current facility which has been damaged multiple times but remains standing today thanks to fundraising efforts led by former Mayor Steve Radke! There have been numerous updates/ renovations undertaken inside or outside of this building since then: most notably in 1984 when new flooring, kitchen & bathrooms were added leading to what is now known as "Radke Plaza". In addition to its namesake mayor’s home – Museum House – this plaza also features a number of artifacts from local history such as an old westbound locomotive that once sat derelict next door until it was donated back to Amtrak in 2013!
