West Chicago, Illinois is a town in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 26,583 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The village of West Chicago used to be separate from the city and had its own school board and other local governing bodies until it merged with Bloomfield Township in 2009. The town was first settled by Germans in 1847 and named for Wilhelm Westphalen, a German immigrant who surveyed the land for a railroads company. The first post office was established in 1851, but operations were discontinued due to lack of customers. In 1857, Elihu Root purchased land east of present-day West Chicago that became East Aurora Township. Root donated the township seat to West Chicago in 1863. In 1871, John Pritzker purchased 5 miles (8 km) of shoreline on Lake Michigan between East Dundee and West Dundee from James Kieft for $1 million US dollars plus interest payments over 20 years. Pritzker founded what is now known as Prairie View A&M University in West Chicago in 1889 based on his donation of land parcels including one which he called "Prairie View". In 1907, Pritzker sold his share of Prairie View to William Hrdy for $2 million US dollars ($ when measured against today's prices). After World War II ended with Japan's surrender on September 2, 1945,[9] much development took place around Prairie View with new homes being built on old university property; this included the incorporation of downtown into Prairie View as well asinitial plans for an amusement park adjacent to campus—the so-called "Prairieview Park". However these plans never came to fruition because Hrdy died suddenly two years before they could be implemented.[10] In 1957 – 1959 Chicagoland National Bank employees opened and operated their own bank branch at 820 N Arlington Ave #202 which served as the nucleus forWestChicagoBank & Trust Company later renamed First Midwest Bank Incorporated (FMB). WCHB offered checking accounts 7 days a week starting November 1st 1957[11]. On December 3rd 1959 FMB opened Holyoke Savings Bank located at 801 S Dearborn Ave which served as both WCHB's primary depository until 1968[12] and also acted as headquarters during those early months following incorporation when no branch could be found within city limits! This bank building still stands today across from City Hall just south Of State Street! On July 15th 1969 Chicagoland National Bank closed their doors after more than 50 years providing banking services to westchicagoans! Their closure left behind an emptiness that would not be filled until Mayflower Savings Banks authorized opening aitute Branch No 1117 Wacker Drive on October 1st 1992 ! From then forwardMayflower Savings Banks has been providing banking services exclusively within neighborhoods throughout westchicago !

The early pistols were made with two types of straps: fastening through straps that ran across the sides of the pistol barrel, and via cross-straps over the hammer or firing pin handle. The Cross-Strap Pistol was patented by Nicholas-Jacques Conte on December 17, 1828. It consisted of a rectangular belt clip attaching to either side of a drilled and tapped barrel. This type of holster was used primarily by law enforcement officers who needed to provide security for their personnel while they conducted proceedings at court or during other public events. In 1842, John Browning designed his very first revolver, which he named the Colt Python. This weapon was chambered in .45 ACP and had an overall length of 6” (150 mm). Browning also designed revolvers with interchangeable cylinders which allowed him to create different calibers for his firearms without having to modify them physically or increase production costs. He initially offered these weapons exclusively through mail order from America’s gunmakers where he could sell them at much lower prices than massproduced firearms available on marketplaces outside America at that time. Colt quickly became world famous for their revolvers and pistols after they released these products into general circulation in 1845. During World War II, many Americans decided not to carry firearms because they believed it would be necessary to fight in defense against Nazi Germany and Japan. However, many Americans did bring their own firearms into war zones such as Normandy WHERE WE HAD TO USE THEM! Many people who owned guns during World War II received orders from government authorities not to bring their weapons into areas under Japanese control because those areas may have been subject to capture or occupation by Japanese forces if they were discovered by Axis forces before battle began - therefore it made perfect sense for these individuals to purchase holsters specifically designed for carrying handguns instead of relying on traditional clothing/weapon carrier options like belts or bags that would provide little real security if captured By Japanese forces
