The company’s success benefited not just American troops but also civilian citizens who could now purchase rounds without fear of retaliation from warring factions. During World War I, Ammunitioneer again came into play as a key player in helpingAmerican forces victory over Europe’s most powerful military force. The company supplied millions of rounds of munitions including artillery shells, grenades, machine guns, and more. Ammunitioneer continued its success during World War II by becoming the primary supplier of munitions needed by both U S Army Air Forces (USAAF) and U S Navy vessels afloat across oceansides around the world. The company maintained a strong presence until its closure in 1945 due to wartime budget restrictions

Washington, Ill. is a town in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 20,651 at the 2010 census. It is the most populous municipality in Cook County and one of the five municipalities located in Chicago metropolitan area. The first permanent settler in Washington was Nicholas Carleton who arrived on November 2, 1821 from Cumberland County, Maryland. He built a cabin on an upland near the present-day intersection of Washington Boulevard and North Avenue. By 1824 Nicholas had two other cabins erected and started trading with other settlers in nearby towns such as Danville and Mount Prospect. In 1827 George Stephenson built a road from Danville to Chicago to serve wagon traffic between Illinois and Michigan Territory; this road became known as Illinois Route 66 (which today remains unsigned). In 1830 Nicholas Carleton sold his land north of Washington Boulevard for $4,000 to John Pemberton who founded Pemberton Township (now part of Evanston) about mile east of present day Washington Boulevard. On July 4th, 1834 George Stephenson donated land south of US-31st Street (now Rushmore Road) just east of current day Wilson Ave., now part of Northwest Side along with money he had saved since starting construction on the Erie Canal project that would connect Buffalo and Chicago. This donation became known as “The Big East” because it included most or all of what is now Jackson Park – bounded by Pulaski Road on the west bank; Western Avenue on the east bank; Lake Shore Drive on its southern border; State Street on its northern border – forming what is today Lincolnwood Cemetery off Northwestern Avenue just south of Jackson Park Blvd., also including much or all of what is now Midtown West following Mr. Stephenson's death less than year later at age 73 years old while still living withinChicago limits! The founder's remain are buried there to this day next to his wife Sophia Anna Pemberton Bulkley Smith Stephens along with their children: James Fenton Stephens (1838-1915), Julia Ann Stephens (1840-1920), Clarissa Muhlenberg Stephens (1842-1925), Alice Everett Howell (1846-1929), Franklin Pierce Stevens Jr.(1849-1926). In 1888 President Grover Cleveland dedicated The Shrine At Plainfield which enshrined America's pioneer women including Mrs. Paulina Randall who lived across from then Mayor Richard Jealousy’s house until her death in 1901 aged 86 years old when she bequeathed her home/grounds to Plainfield Village for use by local schools (#1 Hennepin School District until it moved out into new buildings on Halsted Street in 1973). Also during 1888 Local 255 #2 Masonic Lodge No 1 removed an entire wall Surrounded by iron fencing - four feet high & six feet wide - which served as their circular temple interior & exterior walls cedar plank flooring w/bronze dome ceiling finished w/a copper mirror above each light well inside spindles handrails

In 1812, when Stonington became the temporary capital due to overcrowding at Springfield andKaskaskia, Washington moved into its current location on State Street just south of Randolph Avenue – one block from where Abraham Lincoln stood during his historic speech “From Topeka To Cairo” on April 14th 1865
Washington, Illinois was organized as a town on December 6, 1836, by the merger of the towns of Washington and Fort Wayne. The name honor General George Washington and his victory at Yorktown in 1781.
