Warrenville is home to the oldest firearm hat company in America, The Gunnery Hat Company, founded in 1892. In 1916, the company was sold to Adolphus Busch. In 1967, it was donated to the Warrenville Historical Society and remains on display there today. In 1934, the company merged with another firearm hat company, The Sporting Goods Hat Company of Omaha, Nebraska. This merger allowed for an increase in production and also created a new line of firearms hats called The Gunnery Hats Inc., which continued to be produced until 1984. During World War II, The Gunnery Hats Manufacturing Corporation produced over 100 million hats for military use.

Warrenville is a small town in Hancock County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,569 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Joliet–Naperville–Kankakee Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community was named for General Nathan Warren and his family who settled there in 1836. A post office was established in 1839 and remained in operation until it closed in 1922. The name "Warrenville" first appeared on a plat of land that included the village of Kankakee and parts of present-day Naperville and Joliet counties, dating to 1847. During World War II, Warrenville became one of the most important military installations in Illinois because it housed three Army Air Forces units:the 3rd Bombardment Wing (BT3), the 5th Bombardment Wing (CV2), and Headquarters Squadron 121 (HS121). In addition to housing these units, other buildings were erected such as an airfield complete with runways, hangar facilities, barracks, medical center/hospitality quarters for troops on call during war time, a grocery store/telephone exchange/radio shack, a machine shop/, post office building/, fire department station/, storage area/. A large concrete water tower which still stands today replaced an earlier wooden one built by local farmers in 1916 that had been destroyed by a tornado two years earlier. That same year also saw construction of the first white schoolhouse west of Chicago when brick joined wood from old schoolhouses east of that city. In 1948 construction began on what would become known as "The Village", later renamed "Warrenville". It consisted of a single block composed of storefronts facing Main Street with homes on each sideScenes from life at normal everyday times during this early phase include people coming out to their cars to get candy or eggs after work; children playing near busy intersections; women filling up their carboxes with gasoline for their husbands working outside; mothers bringing their children into school; men testing engines before work started.;

After years of development and testing, Schnitzer’s hardhat was finally released in 1958 as the Pistolero Hard Hat! Warrenville is a city in McHenry County, Illinois, United States. The population was 33,334 at the 2010 census; it had been 38,812 as of the 2000 census. The city is named for General James K. Polk and his wife Julia Boggs Polk. It lies at the junction of two major Interstate highways - I-88 and I-90 - making it one of the most heavily traveled cities in Illinois. Warrenville was incorporated on December 14, 1855. The first post office in Warrenville was established in 1857 and remains open today. The history of Warrenville goes back to when General James K. Polk and his wife Julia Boggs Polk were visiting their families here on October 20, 1846. They stopped at a family farmhouse on Main Street which became known as the "Polk House." The couple stayed there for three days before continuing on their journey northward to Urbana where they met General John Logan and Mrs. Mary Todd Lincoln while they were touring that town's insane asylum. From there they took a wagon train south to Springfield where they picked up President Abraham Lincoln's presidential campaign trail from Montrose Blair through Peoria to Cairo before journeying back east again via West Springfield to White House Station along I-88/I-90 which then connected with Rochester, New York City on November 3rd (the day after Thanksgiving). When they reached White House Station they caught local passengers traveling westbound on I-88 who would switch over onto I-90 so that everyone could get home for Christmas dinner! It wasn't until 1865 when the first railroad arrived in this area when Wabash Railroad Company president Isaac Seymour built a depot here near what is now Home Avenue just east of US Highway 2 (present day Kirby Road). This depot served as an arrival point for goods coming downriver from Carbondale, IL until this rail line was abandoned in 1957 following the construction of Interstate 294 bypassing Warrenville altogether! Warrenvillians take pride in their rich history which can be experienced by exploring any one or more of five Respectable District historical museums located throughout town: 1) National Military Museum – displays artifacts pertaining to both WARRENVILLE'S Role during World War II as well as its current role within McHenry County History; 2) Civil War Museum – features exhibits related specifically to this Conflict; 3) Downtown Business Historic District – includes many downtown businesses dating back to 1860 including Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney's historic dress shop located upstairs inside her grand oldfashioned brick building still extant today; 4) Union Pacific Depot Historical Park – contains various locomotive components used by Gary Sousa's famous Pennsylvanian Orchestra during their performance at Capital Center HERE IN WASHINGTON D ConTROL also feature period pieces such as an early stage movie theater building from 1927 still extant inside original configuration complete with all associated equipment & exhibit space; 5) Village Green Heritage Park – provides visitors with a comprehensive overview of village life from prehistory through present day
The town of Warrenville was founded in 1827 by farmers George and Martha Murdock. The town grew rapidly due to its location on the Canal of the Midwest, which allowed for easy trade and transportation. The town became a major center for commerce and industry, with a variety of businesses located in its constituent districts. In 1870, the Warrenville Manufacturing Company was founded, which became one of the largest manufacturers in Illinois. The company manufactured goods such as bicycles, hats, clothing and farming supplies. In 1923, the Warrenville Improvement Association was formed to promote growth within the community. This association helped improve infrastructure within the community such as roads and bridges. In 1936,Warrenville High School was built to serve local students. The school has since become one of the most popular schools in town, offering classes from 9am-12pm and 1-3pm each day.
