The Laser Sight Village originally consisted of three buildings: a training center, a range and an exhibit hall. The Laser Sight Village offers both complete beginner/intermediate level courses as well as advanced courses that cover every aspect of laser sight use. In addition to this, the village also provides access to numerous resources such as education materials, video tutorials and library loans for anyone interested in learning more about lasersights. In 2012-2013 the village made history when it became the first municipality in Illinois to host the world's largest open air laser sighting competition with over 100 exhibitors from around the world! The event was held at Villa Park lakefront park and attracted top international experts from across different industries including law enforcement, military and scientific communities alike.

Villa Park is a small town in McLean County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,929 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Rockford, Illinois Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Village of Villa Park was organized on February 26, 1892 from parts of the towns of Galesburg and Rome. The village was named for Anna May Villa, who had donated land to create it. Anna May Villa's husband John Cline had also donated land to the village and served as its first mayor. In 1907, the village became a city with a population of 10,000 people. On December 3, 1916 the city was renamed Villa Park after Anna May Villa's daughter-in-law Laura Bouvier Robinson; this change followed an effort by Mayor George Wickersham to improve public morale following World War I when many businesses closed due to wartime rationing. On October 15th 1929 representatives from all five towns in McLean County met at Rome Township Hall and decided that they would form a new county if it wasn't already formed; this new county would be named after President Herbert Hoover because he had been bom in nearby Holland Patent Borough on December 4th 1879. When Plainfield County was created on October 25th 1930 it included part of what is now McLean County and so villa park became part of Plainfield County too which made it one unit with a larger population than ever before!
