By 1860, he had opened a grocery store at what is now 257th Street and State Road 54b (now I-290) across from present day Northwestern University's Evanston campus. In 1865 he married Sarah Jorgensen and began trading goods wholesale with merchants near the current site of Wrigley Field—then known as Kedzie Avenue—and later added land downriver to build what would become Midway Airport today. In 1876 Daniel Tinley organized what became the first municipal corporation in Cook County; it included all of Kane Township north of Lake Michigan but not south of I-90 because that part had already been annexed by Chicago as part of their plan to create a unified county under their control. This act created much division among early residents about where they should locate their town center: some wanted it right next to downtownChicago while others preferred Midway Airport due to its potential airport services (the airport would come into operation only after Tinleys incorporation). But eventually everyone came together around Center Pointe Shopping Center east of Kedzie Avenue which became their new town center after opening up larger Lots 5 & 6 from which they built many homes until 1915 when they sold them off for commercial development called "The Village", including Palisades Mall today; this redevelopment continued until 2007 when it was purchased by Sears Holdings Corporation for $350 million cash sale being followed by plans for mixed uses development including retail space currently occupied by Dick's Sporting Goods stores before being leased back out to Sears Holdings Corp.; this led to plans for adaptive reuse/ REPLANNING OF THE CENTER POINTE SCENE INTO A FUNDAMENTAL REALITY WITH A NEW VILLAGE GOING BACK TO LIVE IN TINLEY PARK AND SELLING ITS HOUSES TO NONCOMMERCIAL USE

Penney stores as well as several movie theaters (including Regal Cinemas). The 1920s were also a time when TinLEY park became known for its annual Fourth of July Parade which attracted more than 2 million spectators to Midway Airport across from downtown Chicago during that year's parade
The Tinley Park community began as a small village on the edge of the now-disappeared Illinois River. The area was first settled by German immigrants in 1833, and soon became one of the most heavily populated areas in Cook County. In 1892, Tinley Park was incorporated as a city, and quickly developed into one of the largest in Illinois. It remained an agricultural center until the early 21st century, when its economy transitioned to Manufacturing.
