In 1933, Wm Henson became president of the club and made it his mission to promote rifle hunting in central Illinois. He donated a number of rifles and shotguns to the society along with hundreds of rounds of ammunition for use at rifle matches around town. With Henson's guidance, the club went from strength to strength; by 1941, it had more than 130 members! The late 1940s were a time of transformation for both Newton-based businesses and Streator itself; within three years, both locations had changed their names multiple times (Fence Company became G&G Tires & Gun Emporium; The Kapp Shop became JFH Sporting Goods; and The Henson Store became Missouri Valley Sporting Goods). It wasn't until 1951 that everything finally came together as one entities under the name "Streator Shooting Times". This venerable institution continues to provide quality shooting experiences today for locals, visitors alike!

In 1934, the club became affiliated with the Illinois Rifle Association and soon began providing instruction for NRA members. Streator, Illinois is a small town located in the southern part of the state of Illinois. The population was 3,914 at the 2010 census. It is the only village in Streator Township. The village has a mayor-commissioner form of government with a five-member board of trustees and an elected police chief. The village has two public schools - one high school and one middle school - as well as two private schools - One Private School for Boys and One Private School for Girls. There are also three businesses in the village - Hometown Inn, Old World Pizza, and Dairy Queen - which support local economic growth. The Village of Streator was organized on December 4th 1871 when seven residents met to discuss creating a new community within township boundaries. At that time, there were no approved plans for developing land within township limits so discussions began to consider what type of community would be established in Streator Township. After some discussion it was decided to name the new community after General Anthony Wayne (1794-1848), who served as US Army Chief of Staff during the Mexican War (1846-48). On January 2nd 1872, General Wayne arrived in Moline from his military campaign east of Mexico City and addressed a meeting attended by representatives from all six villages in township boundaries: Apple Valley, Bartonville, Bloomington South Side, Brookfield East Side, Crossroads Village (now called Seward), Garden City North Side and River Hills Village (now called Wellesley). In response to General Wayne's speech topics included educational opportunities for future generations; industry; place where people could gather to worship Almighty God; fire protection measures; roads/paths leading into or out of town; housing developments including starter homes/condos/houses etc.; Indian removal offers made through agents working with United States Department Bureau of Indian Affairs In 1873 General Wayne resigned his position as USArmy Chief Special Advisor on Mexican Affairs and returned home to Indiana where he died four years later on October 16th 1850 at age 61 years old For many years post office boxes have been available through USPS for $2 per box

The city was named after the nearby stream, which ran through the town. At its height, Streator had over 1,500 residents and functioned as a bustling commercial center for the surrounding area. However, the city's fortunes changed during theWooden Age. By 1830, there were only 400 people living in Streator proper and it struggled to keep up with the growth of neighboring towns. In 1837, John Streator died and his wife took control of the town. She made several changes to improve the city's infrastructure such as enlarging businesses districts and building new public buildings. Additionally, she invested in local agriculture which played a major role in supporting her citizens during difficult times. By 1840, however, things had begun to change again as malaria began spreading throughout southern Illinois due to an increase in travel within that region. As a result of this problem, many businesses closed their doors and prices for goods increased significantly. This prompted Nancy Streator to make another important decision - she decided to move her family away from downtown into what is now known as Old Town Square. Despite some challenges faced during their move (such as scarce housing) they eventually became successful farmers and ranchers who have kept their hometown alive since then. In recent years, tourism has become an important part of local economy and Old Town Square has seen significant redevelopment efforts; most notably its incorporation into a modern day shopping mall called "The Village". Despite these advances though, much remains unchanged about one of America's earliest communities: today it is a vibrant cultural center with strong ties to its surrounding rural areas
