Scope mounts have been a part of Streator,Illinois for many years. They are responsible for holding rifles and shotguns in place while the shooter fires. The first scope mounts were made by HORIBA in 1935. These mounts were made to attach to the front sight posts on rifles and shotguns. A few years later, J&B Manufacturing created a similar mount called the "Bushmaster" mount which was used on many bolt action hunting rifles and shotguns. In 1958, Browning introduced their "Bolt Action Hunter" model which featured Scope Mounts as an insert into the stock of the rifle. This design allowed shooters to use different optics with their firearms without having to modify them. From this time until today, Scope Masts have been a popular addition to indoor shooting ranges around the United States!

Streator, Illinois is a town in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 9,826 at the 2010 census. The largest employer in the town is Peoria Township government which has a population of over 17,000 people. The Streator area was first settled by Germans in 1814 and named after Philipp Streiter, an officer with the U.S. Army during the War of 1812 who had been wounded at Sackville Heights. The first post office in Streator was established on October 21, 1816. It served as the village's main center for mail delivery until it closed on March 10, 1865 due to low mail traffic. In 1872-1873 three German families came to America and started a small grocery store on Main Street called "Gleichschaltung". This store lasted until 1903 when it burned down and all its products were destroyed in a fire that also destroyed several homes and barns on nearby Indian Prairie Road. Another early business activity was running a sawmill which started operations in 1875 near present day Old Hickory Road/Route 66 south of town. By 1886 this mill had stopped production because of problems with water logging from high limestone cliffs adjacent to the mill site; however, it reopened two years later under new management as one of the first grain elevator businesses in Kane County. In 1893–94 another major problem arose when creek levels rose so much that parts of town got flooded each year; however this did not stop local residents from beginning construction of what would become known as "The Brick House" (later renamed "The Town Hall"), now considered one of the most important civic buildings in Streator history: predecessor to today's Municipal Building purchased by the townspeople in 1978 and completely renovated/modernized between 1984-1986 Today's Municipal Building houses many different departments including Courts & Justice etc., while also housing various community programs such as meetings for school board members etc., giving some semblance of continuity between past & present government functions within ourTown!

Streator, Illinois is a small town in the Ozarks region of Missouri. The population was 2,592 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Rolla-on-the-Ozarks, MO Micropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in Streator was Levi Coffin who arrived in 1827. He and his family built a log cabin near what is now the intersection of Main and State Streets. The first post office in Streator was established on October 1, 1830, by Jno. Noyes and Wm. Hines. A store and hotel were built soon after on Main Street, but these failed to take off and were closed in 1835 when railroad construction began nearby. In the 1840s, several farmers started growing corn on their properties around what is now downtown Streator. In 1849 local resident Nathaniel Dooley platted a town square within present day downtown area with land that he owned east of Main Street between Second and Third streets eastward from US Highway 64 (now US Highways 169 and 173). Dooley named it "Streator" for his home place about 12 miles away in Decatur County, Illinois (). The first school in Streator was erected on Church Lane north of present day State Street in 1851 by Mrs Jane French Smith (1811-1889). This building served as the start of many schools that would be established throughout the community over time includingelementary through high school levels as well as adult education classes until 1957 when all public secondary education ended at Rolla-on-the-Ozarks Unified School District boundaries creating an even smallerMicropolitan Statistical Area known today simply as Rolla-on-the-Ozarks (). On December 5th 1861 local resident James Gamble donated land to form a village cemetery which became known as "Old Stone Hill". In 1865 local resident Elijah Hubbard gave land to become an agricultural college known today as Truman State University (). Many businesses located near Old Stone Hill developed such as grocery stores, dry goods stores etc., eventually leading to its closure during prohibition era due to prohibition laws not allowing alcohol sales inside churches (. . .) When prohibition ended most businesses reopened however some stayed closed such as Harry's Drug Store which still stands today across from Central Park Racetrack just south of I Avenue SE corner First Street
