At its peak, Northern Illinois Medical College had 80 full-time employees and 710 students from 30 states who attended its clinics across five wards: Western Side (northwest side of Jackson Park), Eastern Side (southwest side of Jackson Park), Lincoln Heights ( northeast corner of Adams Boulevard and Griggs Avenue), West Side ( southeast corner of Cicero Avenue and Milwaukee Street), and East Side ( northwest corner of State Street). In 1933, Northern Illinois merged with DePaul University to form DePaul University–Northern Illinois which then merged with UIUC to form UIUC–DePaul in 1938. In 1948, Northern Illinois merged again with Chicago State Teachers' Union to form Chicago Teachers' Union Local 527 before finally merging into AFSCME/CIO on October 15th 1960 under current name United Federation Of Teamsters Local 825
