On July 17, 1871, Westchester Township became part of Saint Charles Township when that township split off from Livingston because it had been organized before SaintCharles' incorporation date – also making it one of only two townships in Kane County that did not become part ofChicago until after 1871 (East Stroudsburg also did not become part of Chicago until after 1871). On January 1, 1907, all but 2 acres (0 hectares) of what is now downtown St.Charles were annexed by Chicagoland Heights which then became a city under Mayor George Kappler's leadership - much like later City Hall Annexations such as Maywood Heights in Cook County or Riverdale Park in Rockford Hills which followed similar patterns over time In 1940 most streets were converted into numbered avenues according to road numbers instead of street names - this change followed citywide conversion to number system for Streets Department purposes By 1990 most businesses had closed down so there are few if any original buildings still standing today Some examples include: Masonic Temple building at corner US Highway 6th Street/McDonald Road /Lake Shore Drive /Wangari Plaza Building at 5555 North Racine Avenue / King's Chapel Methodist Episcopal Church Building located at 601 N State Street built c1910
