There are also several small businesses scattered throughout the town that support many local shops and restaurants including a grocery store/cafeteria chain called Market Pantry which has been open since 1944; an ice cream shop called Illini Creamery; two banks; Dunkin' Donuts; two movie theaters (The Shawshank Redemption Museum & Cinema complex) as well as numerous convenience stores like 7-Eleven and KFC; multiplex theater complexes such as AMC Lincoln Square & Regal Park near Northwestern University; numerous apartment buildings containing nearly 1,000 units spread throughout various neighborhoods on all sides of downtownShilohlians are proud of their community spirit which helps contribute to its overall success story despite some challenges such as traffic congestion during peak hours or lack thereof during off hours due to extenuating circumstances such as holidays or school vacations
