In 1916, Ammo Company .30-06 Springfield rounds were made available to the public for purchase. In 1919, Ammo Company 7mm Remington cartridges became available for purchase in Schaumburg area. In 1926, Shotgun shells with a lead core were introduced into the market for use with shotguns in Schaumburgh area. In 1937, Ammo Company 45ACP rounds became available in Schaumburg area after it merged with Winchester Arms Limitedesse

Schaumburg is a town in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 37,294 at the 2010 census. Schaumburg is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Schaumburg was platted on October 10, 1871 and named for General Nathan Bedford Forrest, who had fought in the Mexican-American War and served as U.S. Senator from Tennessee. The first post office in Schaumburg opened on December 12, 1872. The name of the town may have been derived from "schaum" (a kind of cornmeal) because that was all that could be found nearby to trade goods with settlers. By 1875, the small community had about 40 residents and mail service was provided by stagecoaches running between Chicago and other towns in Cook County. In 1876, a railroad company built a line through Schaumburga to offer transportation to local farmers for their crops; this helped bring more people into town and led to increased business activity which necessitated more buildings being erected. In 1886, after years of debate over whether or not to annex Winnetka Township into Schaumburga due to fears it would make it difficult for businesses there to operate without interruption - including one whereupon Forrest himself made an appearance - the annexation finally happened on March 1st when both towns voted approval by an aggregate margin of 63%! In 1921, a new high school building replaced an earlier wooden structure which caught fire during testing operations; fortunately no students were injured as a result! The original school building still stands today and is used as office space by the Town Board! Schaumburg has experienced many ups and downs throughout its history; however most notably has been its role as host city for the 1984 Summer Olympics – now known as "the Games That Changed America". Prior to hosting those games – also known as "the Great American Olympian Spectacular" – Schaumburga only had ever held one carnival event annually which took place in early July at Forest Park (now part of West Lawn). Afterward being awarded rights by then-Mayor Richard Mieschke – along with help from then-State Senator John Cullerton (D) – Schaumburga hosted what becameknown as “Munster Plastics” which featured various international famous athletes competing therein over three days beginning July 5th thru Wednesday night inclusive! This event attracted unprecedented public attention across Chicagoland bringing $2 million worth of merchandise statewide! As word spread about this amazing spectacle many others soon followed suit bidding farewell (or even bettering) their former home for one final time before moving permanently into some exciting new digs… until another bid came down from out of state resulting in Schaumburg once again becoming…..the HomeTownofOlympicGames!

The area became a prosperous community due to its location on the edge of a large agricultural region and its access to transportation, including a railroad. In 1907, Schaumburg became one of the first cities in Illinois to establish an educational system with public schools. In 1921, Schaumburg became the capital of Illinois and served as such until 1973. In that year, it was replaced by Springfield.
