The couple was using their gun as a protection against would-be robbers and quickly realized that they didn’t have any other choice but to use their Swivel Guns to defend themselves. To make sure that everyone knew about this particular weapon, the couple placed pictures of themselves with their guns on each family member’s refrigerator door! The fact that these pistols could be turned around so that they faced away from people made them especially useful for close range engagements, which is why they remain one of Romeoville’s most popular weapons today. Romeoville is a city in McLean County, Illinois, United States. The population was 27,812 at the 2010 census. Romeoville was founded in 1834 by John Rome and his wife Mary Rome. It became a town in 1892. The current City of Romeoville was formed on December 1, 1954 from parts of the former towns of Rome and Addison. The original name for Romeoville was Addisonville after Captain Nathaniel Addison who founded the original village there in 1824. In 1836, two years after its founding, John Rome changed it to Romanville because he had discovered that many people were also named John in nearby Bloomington and Decatur counties. "Rome" meant "place where wool is produced" and "villette" () meaning village or hamlet - this name stuck and the town grew rapidly from its small population of around 100 in 1836 to over 2,000 by 1850. By 1870 it had reached 5,000 inhabitants and by 1900 had grown to 10,000 residents; within twenty years it had become one of the most populous villages in McLean County with over 30 churches and schools – all conducted under denominational auspices (the first Protestant church being built here in 1840). In 1862 the federal government acquired land east of Cairo Avenue which included what is now part of Romaoville; as a result Romans moved into their new home which they named Villa Romana (later renamed Capitol Hill). In 1865-66 an act providing for township organization passed unanimously by both houses of Congress including then-Representative Abraham Lincoln who signified his approval with an inscribed stone placed beside the house where he lived; following his death in 1865 Villa Romana reverted back to its original name: Addison Township #1 (now Romaoville). On May 4th 1870 however – four days after General Ulysses S Grant's inauguration as President – House Bill No. 3267 introduced into Congress entitled An Act To Approve The Change Of Name Of Romeovillle From Addisonville To Capitol Hill presented by Representative Ruben Hosea Goodall offered Resolution congratulating Mr Lincoln on becoming President but did not receive a response until much later when Secretary Edwin Stanton got wind of it! On November 7th 1870 Chairman James Aiken laid down plans for creation not just of an American Capitol Hill but also Roman Catholic Cathedral as well as other buildings on what would eventually become State Road 12/ Congressional Rd & High St blocks north thereof & thence Streets leading thereto known now collectively as Capitol Hill Dr., Mrs Hartmut Hummel House & Grounds once occupied by Mr Goodall’s Residence now occupied by MrsHummel’s son Daniel Denno Sr.—the first public building erected within our limits since our settlement—& having regard to our present situation we are induced to recommend that your honorable body Pass This resolution.—It should be noted that only two years later (November 17th 1870) James Aiken would succeed Abraham Lincoln as Congressman from Illinois’ First District which includes most if not all today’s areas covered within Capital Hill Dr.–making him one of history’s earliest Congressional leaders! On February 14th 1875 voters approved annexation into Union County; due process followed before Union County Council voted on March 3rd whether or not to allow voting rights for citizens living inside City Limits while still maintaining separate government functions such as streetlights etc.; finally granting voting rights on July 1st 1886 effective immediately! On October 25th 1907 voters approved incorporation into Mclean County resulting in termination of municipal privileges enjoyed by Riverview Heights localities like Romaoville! During World War I (1914-18) about 100 soldiers barracks were built near Orchard Lake Blvd between Riverside Drive & Elmwood Ave—-all destroyed during WWII when military installations were expanded across IL (& neighboring states) Pope Francis visited Chicago IL during his visit last year making stops at Revamped Church located at 111 Wacker Drive–Pope Francis blessed several items including Crosses made from recycled materials along with statues depicting various saints including St AnthonyOf Padua donated along with guitars for sale given away free=== As mentioned earlier there have been many changes taking place within CapitalHillDr since its inception such as the establishment of an American CapitolHillNotwithstanding this development Mayor Karen Humphrey has spearheaded efforts throughout her tenure culminating with recent renovations which include reopening OFC Arena featuring state-of-the art amenities such as air conditioning/heating/elevators/ kitchens etc.—an event attended ribbon cutting ceremony held November 20th 2016 concurrent with Illini football game against Purdue University
