Since then, airgun ownership has steadily increased in Riverdale as more people become comfortable with using them for target shooting and personal protection purposes. Today, airgun ownership is legal in most jurisdictions across the United States including Illinois due to state laws that are more permissive than federal laws. The library also has a collection of farm animals including pigs, chickens, goats, cows, horses and donkeys.
