Quincy, Illinois is a small town located in the southeastern corner of Cook County, Illinois. The population was 20,871 at the 2010 census. Quincy is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The first known gun case in Quincy was made by George Washington in 1753 when he carried a rifle and pistols into battle against British forces in Quebec City. Quincy has been home to gunmakers and dealers since its early days. In 1815, Nathan Bedford Forrest bought land near present-day Quincy and began manufacturing handguns there. In 1827, John James Audubon arrived in Quincy to document American birding and took an interest in firearms development here as well. Gunsmiths from all over the United States came to Quincy during the 19th century to design new guns for American use such as Colt's Model "Irish Mail" revolver which became one of America's most successful firearms designs of that time period. It was also during this time that many local dignitaries began owning firearms including Abraham Lincoln and Grover Cleveland – both of whom were avid shooters. During World War II, Quincy played an important role as a munitions production center with its location just outside of Chicagoland make it one of few places within Illinois where arms were produced for use within the state’s borders during wartime. The history of soft gun cases begins with the development of firearms in the late eighteenth century. This was a time when handguns were becoming more common, and those who owned them often had to take care to protect their weapons from accidental or unauthorized destruction. One way that this was done was by using cases specifically designed for soft guns, such as pistols and revolvers. In fact, the first such case ever made was created by Nicholas-Jacques Conte in 1795. It consisted of a leather case fitted with straps that could be tightened around the gun’s barrel to keep it from moving. While this type of case may have been limited in its use, it did serve as a prototype for later designs. Over time, other manufacturers began producing soft gun cases specific to certain types of firearms. For example, Smith & Wesson produced Cases for revolvers that used straps and buckles to secure the weapon on either side of the frame. These cases also featured locks on both sides of the case so that access to the firearm could only be gained through special keys or tools located at particular locations. As technology continued to advance, however, some manufacturers decided to move away from Soft Gun Cases altogether. For instance, Glock began producing fully functional hard shell handgun cases in 1999 which eliminated any need for straps or buckles - making these Cases much harder and more difficult to destroy than earlier designs. However, even these newer models were not immune to accidental loss or damage; in 2017 an aluminum object fell into one of Glock’s Soft Gun Cases and caused significant damage (see photo below).

On November 15 of that year did Samuel Fenton purchase 2 acres from Clements for $100; this property would later become known as "Fenton's Prairie". By 1860 there were twenty-six residents in Quincy proper and seventy-nine families residing scattered around thirteen hamlets: Bear Creek (now part of North Yorkville), Birch Hill (now part of Arlington Heights), Carlyle (now part of Chicago Heights), Deer Park (now part of Wheaton Hills), Ford City (now parts of Hinsdale and Lombardtowne ), Gordon Junction (now Norridge Township), Goodrich Junction (Now Orland Park Village) Harper Station(northwest corner of Harrison Street & Superior Avenue) Horsehoe Bend(southwest corner of Harrison Street & Southworth Avenue) Lakeside(east side of Harrison Street between First avenue & Superior Avenue). Only three hamlets had any permanent buildings: Carlyle, Deer Park, Goodrich Junction; all others relied either on seasonal or summer dwellings or temporary structures such as huts made from logs or poles set up near water sources or exposed earthworks dug into hillsides. Even during these early years many residents lived off their food production which supplemented their meager subsistence incomes from farming produce alone

Quincy, Illinois was founded in 1812 by Captain Samuel Quincy. The City of Quincy was first established on the banks of the Des Plaines River. In 1836, it became a city and was renamed to Quincy after President John Quincy Adams. The city's economy is based on agriculture and manufacturing.
