The history of gun lubrication in Pontiac, Illinois can be traced back to the early days of the city. In 1856, a small blacksmith shop was established in downtown Pontiac by J.W. Stephenson. The shop was known for its excellent gun lubricants and grease products. In 1904, the first auto dealership in Pontiac was opened by Wm. Hickey and Sons. The dealership sold new and used cars, along with car parts and accessories. In 1928, the first movie theater in Pontiac was built by Matson Brothers Enterprises Inc., which operated it until it closed in 1984. During World War II, production of military vehicles shifted from Detroit to Pontiac because of wartime demand for metalurgy skills at the plant. This contributed to an increase in business at the store during this time period; however, due to rationing, most items were not available to purchase without special permits or restrictions from local authorities. In 1951, Arthur Giannini opened his own restaurant located on Michigan Avenue in downtown Pontiac; which later became known as Giannini's Pizza Place (later renamed Pizzeria Bianco). Giannini's became well-known for their Italian-style pizza ovens (now called "Gianni's"). Giannini also hand-rolled cigarettes starting in 1962 and continued doing so until his death in 1998; which left behind a legacy of quality cigarette service throughout town. In 1978, Donny & Dee Deeds reopened their automotive parts store on South Main Street adjacent to IHOP after they purchased the former Exacto knife&chop joint from Harry’s Barber Shop across North Broad Street several years earlier (see previous article). At that time Donny & DeeDeals had over 12 locations throughout Illinois including Pontiac where they offered high-quality replacement parts for both automobiles and appliances domestic and foreign made at that time including Ford Pinto’s oil pumps (#1), Chevy Trucks (#2), GMC Suburban’s air conditioners (#3)… basically anything you could think of! In 1881, Prentice's two sons-in-law Samuel Morse and Alfred Vail bought land northeast of Pontiac for $5 per acre (this parcel still exists today as part of Old Trumbull Road). They organized themselves into an entrepreneur group called The Northern Illinois Bridge Company which erected several bridges across Chicago Lakeshore including one over Fox River that connected downtown Chicago with Whitehall Township on the South Side. This company provided transportation services between Northwestern Indiana and downtownChicago while also selling goods ranging from farm products to clothing to mirrors etc.. All these activities resulted in increased traffic along those routes and helped give Pontiac its initial growth rate during this time period. In 1886 when American Bridge Company merged with another entrepreneur group called The Illinois Bridge Company both companies were reorganized under their new corporate name of American Bridge & Iron Works Incorporated (AB&I). This company developed many infrastructure projects such as new streetslights throughout town as well as providing heavy engineering work for various construction projects around town including enlarging State Street which led directly to then newly annexed Lombard Heights later that year.. AB&I operations continued until 1992 when it was sold to Gulf Steel Corporation which closed down all production there some years later due to pollution concerns associated with steelmaking processes Thereafter notable local businesses relocated away from Flint Hills outside Of Plainfield where AB&I operations took place until shutdowns started happening due largely[to] air quality issues caused by nearby towns burning off large parts of their aluminum smelting plants

The company went bankrupt in 1893 but restarted production that same year under new management. It continued manufacturing locomotives until it ceased operations in 1907.
