Pontiac is a town in Macomb County, Illinois, United States. The population was 5,704 at the 2010 census. It was formed from the merger of two towns: Pontiac and Roanoke. Pontiac is located on the banks of the Ottawa River. The community has been named for nearby Mount Hope Cemetery, which had its opening in 1853. Bipods are an ancient type of footware that date back to at least 3,000 years ago. They were made from a pair of wooden or ceramic spoons that could be worn together as a bipod. Humans are unique because we have developed three sets of LEGS: THE HUMAN EYE-LUNG BOWEL SYSTEM (HES), THE HUMAN STOMACH-GUARDIAN SYSTEM (HGS), AND THE CIRCUMFerential MUSCLE STRUCTURE OF HES (CMS). These three systems allow humans to move about in many ways which are not possible for other creatures who lack these systems. One reason humans are able to walk bipedally is because our hands and feet possess unique structure which allows us to use them in many different ways including holding objects with our fingers and toes as well as using them as weapons when necessary. Our hands also have four fingers which gives us a lot of control over what we do with our hands when walking bipedally unlike other creatures who only have three fingers in their hand! Additionally, humans' stomacum-guardian system allows us to digest food properly even if we don't have a stomach!

Pontiac is a small town in the Champaign County, Illinois area. The population was 9,574 at the 2000 census and 10,527 at the 2010 census. Pontiac is part of the Chicago-Naperville-Urbana metropolitan area. It is bordered by Decatur to the north, Urbana to the east, Champaign to the south, and Maywood to the west. The first settlers in Pontiac were Methodist missionaries who founded what would become known as St. James Presbyterian Church in 1836. In 1854, a group of land speculators led by Levi Morton purchased 120 acres (41 hectares) of land near present-day Pontiac from John Sutter for $2 per acre ($100 per hectare). Morton developed this property into a small community called Mortonville which he named after himself and his brother David Morton. In 1862, when Union General Ulysses S. Grant visited Illinois on his way towards Gettysburg during the American Civil War, he stopped in Mortonville on his way back from Springfield. In 1870–71, local farmer John Juhl established a sawmill onriver near present day Plymouth Drive with power generated from an underground stream running through his property next to where it now rests off of US Highway 31st Street. The mill became one of America's first hydroelectric power plants when it was completed in 1871; today it remains a Historic Landmark managed by Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR). After two years' construction and startup costs totaling $3 million dollars ($120 million in today's dollars),the first electric streetcar line ran between Chicago and Pontiac on December 15th 1872 using horse carriages pulled by four horses; it became known as "The Old Line". On October 1st 1873 daily services began between Chicago and Pontiac utilizing streetcars built by George Westinghouse & Son Ltd.. By 1880 all streetcar service had been discontinued due primarily to competition from oil transportation but passenger traffic continued until 1896 when new railroad tracks were built parallel to US 31st Street making travel easier between Chicago and Pontiac much faster than by horse or wagon

Pontiac was a small town in Grundy County, Illinois, U.S., located on the east side of the river Raisin in what is now Pontiac Township. The community was founded in 1868 by General James Shields and his family as a farmstead called Shieldsville. In 1871, Shieldsville became the permanent location for the village of Pontiac after it was designated as a township under the terms of an act of Congress approved December 15, 1870. The first post office at Pontiac opened on January 1, 1872. The village continued to be governed by a board of trustees until it was annexed by Chicago on February 14, 1893.
