Scope mounts are a type of mount used to attach an optics tube to a rifle or shotgun, typically using a dovetail or other screw-on mount. Scope mounts have come into use over the years for different reasons. In 1911, when the first bolt action rifles were created, scope mounts were not available as varied mount types like bipods and tripod mounts were at that time. Riflemens needed to find a way to attach their optics tubes directly to their rifles without relying on various accessory rail systems that either did not work well with certain rifles or had poor compatibility. A group of engineers working for Winchester developed the "Scope Mount" which is still in use today by many shooters. The Scope Mount allowed shooters toattach their optics tubes directly onto the receivers of firearms, making them much more versatile and easier to use than ever before. This allowed shooters all over the world easy access to high quality optic products without havingto travel outside of their home country and/or area. The Scope Mount was eventually replaced by several other mounts such as bipods and tripods but it served its purpose well and remains in wide use today!

The city grew rapidly due to its location near the railroad and although it lacked an isolation fence, it became well known for its lax immigration laws. In 1916, Plano annexed portions of Dallas County.
Plano, Illinois is a city in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and the county seat of Collin County. The population was 149,787 as of the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth combined statistical area which has a population of 567,513. In 1872, three brothers founded Plano on a piece of land that previously belonged to McKinney and Woodbury. At first it consisted only of their two log cabins. In 1876, John Pemberton opened a store in Plano and within one year had doubled its size to twelve stores. By 1880, Plano had over 100 residents and was served by four railroad lines: the Carthage & Texas Railway (CTR), the Brazos River Railroad (BR), the Houston & Texas Central Railway (HTC) and the Union Pacific Railroad (UP). In 1882, investors bought out Pemberton's shareholders and renamed the town Plano after John Pemberton himself. The city grew rapidly during this time with new businesses opening up such as engineering firms and lumberyards; however, World War I interrupted these growth trends. In 1918 when America entered World War I, many businessmen left for military service but many others continued to operate businesses post-war. However by 1922 there were only ten businesses in Plano while its population had quadrupled to over 200 people. In 1925 local developer Jock Mahon built what is now known as Mahon Place which became an important shopping center for downtown Plano along with several other buildings including Palazzolo's Italian restaurant which still stands today at One Mahon Place in downtown Plano across from Sears Tower (now Kress GmbH). This period marked significant redevelopment which increased business activity around downtown Plano while also improving public transportation options such as buses that transported workers hand-held radios into work sites or home factories during those days before computers replaced most tasks at these companies! During this time commercial development began near Old Baylor Hospital where Service Electric Incorporated relocated from Midland Heights, Michigan in 1923 followed by Texaco Refining Company in 1926 then Shell Oil Company until finally Johnson Paper Products Corporation arrived in 1929; all three companies remain major players today located on North Fourth Street between Lamar Boulevard/University Avenue and Interstate 35E/Texaco Road/Pinecrest Road just south of DowntownDallas! However World War II again interrupted plans for further development until 1945 when construction began on Air Force Base 4th Wing entailing annexation of much surrounding farmland however due to political boundary changes planO remained unincorporated through 1947 despite having a population larger than zoning requirements! Accordingly following World War II much residential redevelopment took place with McMansion style homes becoming popular throughoutmost Dallas-Fort Worth Area although some smaller neighborhoods did manage to slowly recover including Parkwood Village located east side of Randolph Road between SMU campus & Fort Sam Houston Museum District; Mill Creek Village located west side of Elmhurst Drive between Loop 610 South & FM 1451 ; Arlington Heights near Crystal City Airport south side FM 3600 ; Lakeside Villages off Cedar Hill Rd east side Manor Rd outside Loop 1240 ; Deerbrook Ranch located northside San Angelo Parkway south border Gibson Ranch areaHouston suburbs adjacent ranch
Scope mounts (also known as scope brackets, objective bracing, or accessory bracket) are a type of mount that allows the insertion and removal of an objective lens from a rifle. Scope mounts were originally designed to secure riflesights to rifles by means of two metal clamps that would fit on either side of the receiver. These clamps were then threaded into the rifle's barrel and tightened against the frame using a torque wrench. Today, many manufacturers provide adapters which allow users to buy specific mounts that accomplish different tasks such as attaching bipods, raising/lowering sights, or even replacing broken optics. A few industries still use traditional screws and bolts for mounting telescopes while others have systems in which all parts are replaced without having to disassemble the rifle. The history of scope mounts can be traced back to at least 1858 when Elisha Otis invented the first swivel mount for his telescope.
