According to the reports, 21-year old Jeremy Ryan was shot and killed by 14-year old Ajay Holcomb who also died as a result of the shooting. The shooting took place at Parkland High School in Plano after an argument between the two students over a phone game.
Plano, Illinois is a city in Dallas County, Texas, United States. The population was 997 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. Plano was founded by James Fenton and named for him. On December 12, 1876, the Hotel Plano opened in what is now downtown Plano. The first store in Plano opened on January 1, 1877. In 1911–12, plans were made to add Morenci Township to planO but no action took place until 1916 when it became apparent that more people were moving into Arlington Heights than could be accommodated within the existing boundaries of Plano and Morenci Township alone. By 1920 there were nearly 6000 residents living in both cities with just over 2500 residents within the boundaries of only one municipality - this despite dictating from Congress that municipalities should have a total population less than twenty thousand unincorporated citizens

On November 3, 1879, a group of twenty-six farmers and businessmen from Plano founded the city of Plano. The town was named after General David Richardson, who had helped lead the Texas Revolution in 1836. The town only lasted for a year before being forced to leave because of disagreements over property rights. In 1880, a new community was established called Clearwater which continued to exist until it closed its doors in 1924. In 1898, the city of Plano annexed the villages of Arlington and Oak Lawn. These annexation efforts were necessary because Clearwater had not been able to build up enough business revenue to support itself.
