There are several businesses in Park Ridge: KFC (Karen's Kitchen), Ford Motor Company (Ford dealership), Chrysler/Jeep dealership, Speedway Motorsports Complex (a track used for speedway racing), Applebee's restaurant- local favorite since it opened in 1915 - and Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance company clinics which serve as primary medical provider for residents' families members and major employers within walking distance or close by including Barnes & Noble bookstore chain; There are also two high schools: Riverview High School located on North Avenue near Interstate 55 and Deerfield Academy located on South Street just south of I-55 between Deerfield Parkway AND US 60 Eastbound lanes near Sheboygan Road; both schools offer excellent programs that continue after graduation into various positions openings throughout our community here at Riverview Township government agencies such as police department...both school districts have attained stateYPAs ratings where Riverview HS achieved an 86 out of 100% while Deerfield Academy achieved an 82 out of 100%.

PARK RIDGE, Ill. (WGN) - Park Ridge is a community located in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 20,885 at the 2010 census. Park Ridge is a suburb of Chicago. The first settler in what is now Park Ridge was Abram Groschon who arrived in 1836. He and his wife Anna built a cabin on the east side of town and named it after their home village of Rakovnik in Croatia where they had just returned from vacation. In 1837, another German family moved to the area and named their farm "Parkridge." It wasn't until 1852 that Abraham Lincoln came to Illinois and stopped at the farm on his way to Mount Rushmore National Monument. While there he met James Kappes who mentioned that there was land for sale near Mount Prospect which would make a great place to settle since no one else wanted it because of all the water supplies coming from Lake Michigan! Abraham bought some land from Kappes and started building a house on it called the White House which he continued to live in until his death in 1865. His wife Sarah followed him into politics and served as First Lady of America from 1865-1867 when she married Ulysses S. Grant In 1872 an act was passed by Congress changing the name of Cook County from “North Side” to “Park Ridge” due to concerns about possible Developers moving into what were then rural areas with limited resources When Abraham Lincoln died childless without children by either Sarah or Mary he bequeathed $100,000 towards construction of West Side High School so that students could have access to an excellent education even if they couldn't afford a tuition price tag themselves Between 1912-1917 over 50 homes were built along North Avenue making Park Ridge one of north side's most popular communities while property values increased five times over during this time span making it difficult for those not blessed with money or connections to maintain their homes however many did manage to keep up through subdivisions, real estate brokerage firms etc
