This weapon was called an "ajijiu" and had two metal circles that could be rotated around each other to aim the gun. In 1527, Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan discovered what is now Guam while sailing through the Philippine Sea. When he landed on it, he realized that there were no land masses between him and Japan so he sailed away and never returned. He left behind evidence of his voyage when he found four large stone idols that depicted a giant conch shell with a human head mounted upon it. These idols were believed to have been erected by the Chinese as representations of their god-like status over Spanish sailors who had just landed on Guam! Swivel guns began being developed in Europe during the 16th century. In 1548, Henry VIII of England granted an order for 100 pairs of iron balls filled with lead shot to be manufactured at Walthamstow cannon works in Essex, England. The ball was fired by means of a swivel system which allowed it to rotate about its axis as it passed through the muzzle! In 1797, John Brown & Company (now Colt) patented their first revolving revolver – the .45 caliber American Model Assailant Revolver (Ammunition). This revolver used an indigenous design called a "rotating breechblock." It featured two recessed round holes on either side of the barrel which allowed cartridges to be inserted directly into these holes without ever having to go past the breech block! The rotary breechblock also led to some interesting gun design innovations such as pistols which featured both single barrels and double barrels! These pistols became very popular during America's Revolutionary War because they could effectively fire multiple rounds per minute!

With only a handful of residents living here during its early years, Palos Hills rapidly grew and changed hands several times before becoming an incorporated village in 1903. Today, it is one of the smallest communities in Illinois with just over 7,500 residents. Many different businesses and organizations have been responsible for helping to keep Palos Hills thriving over the years including AARP, United Way, Kane County commissioners office (formerly known as Republic Services), Wabash Valley Railroad Museum (now known as Union Pacific Railroad Museum), Jaycee Hall Academy (now known as St Mary’s Catholic School) and more. In addition to its good deeds though, Palos Hills also has its share of controversy: In 2002, when then-Mayor John Arena proposed increasing property taxes by 5%, voters revolted against him with a 73% vote against his proposal! However, despite these controversies – which have included affordable housing policies that have helped boost the economy –Palos Hills remains one of America’s most vibrant small towns.
The Palos Hills area was originally a Native American village. The first European to visit the area was Giovanni da Verrazzano in 1524, and he named it Nipomo after his home town of Nizza, Italy. The first permanent European settlement in the Palos Hills area was founded by Captain John Butler in 1795. In 1812, General James K. Polk ordered the burning of all Indian villages within 10 miles of Fort Dearborn on the Chicago River because they were considered obstacles to settlement and commerce. This action destroyed many of the native villages in Illinois and Indiana.
