Today there are only a few remaining businesses active within the community: a grocery store (2005), a post office (2006) and a library (2008). The village has several cultural attractions worth noting such as the nearby Battlefield National Cemetery - where Union troops fought during the American Civil War - as well as two large parks - Crystal Lake Park on one side and Washingtonville Park on the other - both which offer all sorts of activities for children ranging from tennis to swimming to hiking/cycling/jogging/ SKateboarding etc., among others!
