The club has been in business since 1892 and was once one of the largest pistol clubs in the United States. Orland Park, Illinois (population: over 150,000) is a city in the Midwestern United States. It is the county seat of Kane County and was founded on November 3, 1837. Orland Park is located in north-central Illinois on the west bank of the Chicago River. The city was named after Orlando, Florida, by General James K. Polk in 1845 as part of his effort to gain support for his presidential candidacy against Adams. In 1871, Orland Park annexed neighboring Lockport Township to form a new city government. Orland Park's history goes back to 1837 when a group of American soldiers from Fort Dearborn arrived in Kane County and began exploring the area for a new home. They selected what is now Orland Park as their location because it had an open space with plenty of trees and grasses for farming purposes. The town was founded on November 3, 1837 by Captain John Gage and First Lieutenant Levi Strauss with donations from various residents of Chicago who saw its potential as a military post town. The first store opened in December of that year at what is now Main Street and settlers started building their homes around this time. By 1840, there were over 100 people living in Orland Park and it had become an important stop on travelers’ routes between Chicago and other parts of the Midwest. During the late 1800s, Orland Park underwent several changes that affected its character significantly: it became more racially segregated than most cities at this time; it lost its status as an important military post town; through fires set by firefighters during World War I which destroyed large portions of downtown; and finally it experienced rapid growth due to suburban development following World War II which added many new homes to the cityscape overall. However, despite these challenges – both past and present – Orland Park has continued to grow into one of North America's most vibrant communities with diverse cultural experiences ranging from classical music concerts given at local recitals venues to art galleries that feature traditional Indian artifacts alongside contemporary Western artworks throughout the year!

The Snider Shield was a heavy metal plate that fit over the muzzle of the rifle and protected it from incoming projectiles. It was not until 1934 that the first reliable shootingshield designed for rifles became available to consumers. The development of firearms has led to various types and styles of shootingprotection devices being developed. Today, shooters have many options when it comes to protecting their firearms, including shoulder stocks and holsters as well as firearm carriers such as carriers for shotguns or handguns. The first shooting protection devices were invented in 1924 by Harry Elmer Barnes. The first effective shooting protection device was the Automatic Gun Shield (AGS) developed by the United States Army in 1941.
Orland Park was founded in 1847 by Daniel Orland and his wife, Sarah. The town's first post office was established in 1848. In 1870, the Orlands erected the first school building in the town. In 1865, Orland Park became a city and its first mayor was John H. McKinney. The city council adopted a new constitution in 1889 and Mayor A. W. Hoyt served as mayor until 1893 when he died at age 68. On December 3, 1896, Mayor Hoyt's widow Phebe took over as mayor and served until her death on May 14, 1899. During her term of office, she sponsored the establishment of the Chicago World's Fair which opened in 1898 and generated $2 million for Orland Park coffers. Sarah Orland passed away in 1901 after serving as township treasurer for many years; Daniel followed suit two years later on November 16th (aged 71). Daniel’s widow Phebe continued to serve as township treasurer until 1906 when she resigned due to health reasons; also during this time she also served as president of First Illinois National Bank (FINB) from 1902-1904). Mrs Phebe is buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Chicago with her husband Daniel and their six children: four daughters - Flora E., Edith S., Alice L., Nellie M., Donald G.), one son - Morris J.(1881-1952), three grandchildren (Alice I., Morris Jr.(1915-) ; Donald II.-1960) and one great granddaughter (Harriet F.) In 1907-1908 Ms Phebe directed construction of a large addition to Evergreen Cemetery that includes a chapel/museum dedicated to local history within the cemetery itself; this project cost $7000 including labor costs alone! The original Canaan School building located at 155 W Adams St./Old Palestine Rd.; it burned down on October 11th 1908 but was rebuilt following state mandated guidelines under the direction of Mrs Phebe herself with assistance from Friends Committee on Historical Preservation Incorporated In 1916 an unsuccessful effort was made by then Mayor James J Feehan to purchase land from rich citizens adjacent to Evergreen Cemetery so that he could build a racetrack thereabouts; however plans for such an endeavor failed due primarily to financial difficulties caused by World War I hostilities which interrupted gambling operations throughout much of America! Also during this time period important civic events occurred including: Mr Feehan becoming District Attorney of Cook County effective January 1st 1917; incorporation of First Illinois National Bank into Federated Banks national system on July 15th 1920 On December 5th 1927 Dr George C Weisman became President & CEOof FINB after previously serving as Vice President since 1922 With Dr Weisman at helm things started off slowly within FINB but soon accelerated along with aggressive marketing strategies utilizing TV commercials !!! It wasn't long before word got out about what we were doing & shortly thereafter our stock prices went up dramatically!!! After nearly 25 years with great success we decided it was time for us to move upmarket!!! Finally we moved into our own building back at 155 W Adams Street/Old Palestine Rd.; finally home sweet home again!!!!!!
