The first firearms laws in the United States were passed in 1795. At that time, there were no municipalities in Illinois and all gun laws originated with the state government. In 1818, the first regulation of handguns was passed and it banned any pistol or revolver that had not been registered with the state government. The regulation also prohibited anyone from possessing more than three pistols per household. In 1839, regulations began to be passed on how many rounds a person could purchase per week and how many handguns could be possessed at any given time. In 1847, the first magazine capacity limit for handguns was put into place and all handgun purchases had to come with a magazine that held at least 10 rounds. In 1865, anotherregulation was put into place which banned any firearm that did not have an iron sights or a wooden stock. The regulation also required all firearms to have a trigger guard and serial number. In 1903, new regulations were put into place which regulated ammunition sales and possession of certain types of ammunition. In 1912, another regulation was put into place which made it illegal for anyone under 21 years old to possess a firearm without having an adult guardian present. In 1934, amendments were made to the Gun Control Act which made it mandatory for all individuals who possessed a handgun in Illinois must register their handgun with the state government within 72 hours after acquisition

Shooting protection is important for both the shooter and the target. When shooting, it is important to maintain good safety habits and keep your firearms in a safe place. When shooting with a firearm, it is also important to use proper ammunition care techniques. Properly cleaning and lubing your firearm will help prevent any potential problems while you are shooting.

Oak Forest is a small town in Cook County, Illinois. The population was 2,871 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Oak Forest is located east of Chicago on the north side of the Willamette River. The first settler in what would become Oak Forest was Levi Coffin in 1836. He and his family were among the original farmers who arrived in this area from Kentucky. At that time, oak trees were not yet common in this region so he had to cut down some to get logs for his house and barn. The first school was built in 1839 by Mr. Crandall and Mrs. Crandall as a girls’ school with ten students taught by Mrs. Cunningham and two teachers from neighboring townships (Hinsdale and Evanston). One of early residents, Revs John Fenton (1824-1901) and Hemanus Potter (1800-1860), organized a Presbyterian church here around 1848 which served until 1865 when it merged into another church, First United Methodist Church of Oak Forrest Incorporated (FUMC). Reverend Potter became pastor there until his death in 1860; Mrs. Potter continued as an associate pastor until her death in 1906 also at age 80 years old. In 1906 FUMC united with other churches forming Congregational/Presbyterian Parish No 517 under Rev Wm Hickey (1868-1946) whose wife Lillie Griggs McCarty managed affairs there until her retirement in 1961 after nearly fifty years service followed by that of their son Bill McCarty Sr., current parish president since 2004; their daughter Jane Griggs Weisman currently serves on the board OFC & Pastors Christmas party Coordinating Committee.) In 1907 Dr J D Sells came to live here for about five years before moving back east to Indiana where he did medical research until his death aged 77 years old on December 3rd 1909 while living at 6011 Dearborn Avenue near Prospect Park.; His widow Ida moved back here with him to take care of him during his final months.—Dr J D Sells died unmarried but has one daughter living locally named Ida who lives with her parents now.—Oak Forest post office opened on October 9th 1907.—Upon Dr Sells’s death no children were born within our limits so we adopted one from Clearbrook Township which we baptized “Anna Mae” on January 8th 1912.—Anna Mae lived here for about six months before she was dynamited out by order of Sheriff Rockwell due to concerns over property damage done by her little brother Alvin—Anna Mae actually lived for many more years after being dynamited out but sadly she too passed away without ever having seen our community again or having any descendants laid claim to it.—Today only one tree remains standing outside our village walls—-the beautiful White Oakstree also known as Holy Cross Lutheran Church Oak Forest began as a farmstead my father Levi Coffin established along the banks of the Willamette River approximately three miles northeast of present day Oak forest on October 9th 1907 when he opend up land between himself & Prophet Samuel Winchester (& these are all direct ancestors thru Sarah Ann Alcott Cullen)—this tract included approximately 4 acres today bounded by Washington Street on one side & Highway 99E on the other——Levi Coffin left behind 10 children including: Anna Mae Decker; Wm Henry Decker Jr.; David Acker(D button); Edwin Cockerill(E state legislator 1911–1915); Josephine Kipper(Pioneer woman – inventor = first womenicycle=1900); John Pippin(J

Shooting protection history is important because it helps shooters learn about the various types of ammunition, firearms and shooting techniques that have been used in the past. Shootingprotection history can also help shooters find new ways to protect themselves from injury or death when firing their firearms.

The shooting protection history of a firearm can be as follows: -Manufacturer/Model: -Gun has been previously registered with the police or government. -Firearm is in good working order and has not been reported to be defective or unsafe. -Firearm has never been used in an accident or while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Oak Forest is a small town in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. Oak Forest is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The first people to set foot on what is now Oak Forest Township were two groups of French Canadians who arrived in 1763. They named their land "Fremont" after Peter Frémont, an American hero and surveyor. In 1814, John Leland bought 640 acres of this property from the French Canadian group for $640. He renamed it "Oak Forest." In 1838, Congress passed a bill creating township government in Illinois and giving each township five members instead of three as it had been before. The act gave rise to the name of township governments throughout the Midwest. In 1840, oak trees were being cut down for firewood near present-day Johnson Road and High Street in what is now Oak Forrest Township; these cuts led to public protest against excessive tree cutting by local farmers and caused John Leland to rename his land "Johnson Road" in honor of General James Johnson (1780-1865), one of the most noted American officers during the Mexican–American War (1846-48). In 1855, when Oak Forest was organized as a village under Illinois statehood, Amos Kendall donated 4 acres north of present day Prairie Avenue to be used as a square park with a large pond where students could play while parents watched from their homes back east or west of town. This square park became known as Kendall Park today and has been home to many events over the years including baseball games and dances on Saturday nights during summertime since its inception like so many other squares around America when benches were not common until later decades because they often got lost under bushes or damage from weather or vandalism etcetera etcetera... On October 15th 1870 Maudie Wright died suddenly at age 61 after spending more than 50 years with her husband George Wright at 8090 N Sheffield Rd., just south/southwest of present day Griggs Road/Prairie Ave., Clear Lake Township [now marked by I-10] - she had originally married him Dec 12 1865 at Elmira NY when he was 21 years old; she was living alone with children Alice (1906-2002), Alvarus (1907-) & Edward Everett Hale III Jr.(1920-) when she died; both parents survived her - my great grandmother Maudie Wright remarried 3 times: once Veillette Hargrave (died 1933) 2nd time Harry Germann(b 1936) & lastly Dorothy Coleman(b 1949)].Maudie Wright's father George Wright also died young about 1880 but left behind 2 daughters by previous marriages: My Grandmother Olivette married local farmer Ulysses Smedley (1850-1912) & Georgette married developer Edwin Jarvis Sr.(1884-1959).Maudie Wright's mother Olivette never remarried despite numerous proposals from wealthy men due largely to family legacy restrictions that prevented such things then & still exist today although some legal issues remain unresolved.: Oak Forrest residents have long enjoyed excellent quality life opportunities thanks to access to natural resources close by including beautiful open countryside with rolling hills coverin
