However, there are some concerns aboutpropylene glyCOL’S potential toxicity if swallowed: propylene glycol can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chest pain, rapid heart rate , shortness of breath , blurred vision , or blue color change . In addition,, propylene glyCOL may migrate into cells located near your brain and spine during absorption from your stomach . Oak Forest is a small town in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 7,813 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The name Oak Forest comes from theoak tree that grows in the community and its surroundings. The first settler in Oak Forest was Daniel Dolan who came to the area in 1827. In 1830, Peter DeWolfe settled in what is now Oak Forest and built a cabin on his farm. On July 4th, 1830, John Gifford erected a small frame building near where he lived for many years as an innkeeper and general store owner. As time passed and oak trees began to grow abundantly all around Oak Forrest, people started calling their little town "Oak Forest." In 1851 Rev James Ketchum organized a Presbyterian church in Oak Forrest with Mr Hylan serving as pastor for many years until his death in 1886. In 1892 Rev John Sweeny organized another Presbyterian church which still meets today at 412 W Washington Ave., just east of Parkway Center Drive (now Willowbrook Shopping Center). In 1916 Mrs Bessie Tilton donated land to serve as an elementary school campus which bears her name today. Mrs Tilton also contributed money towards construction of the current high school building which opened in 1926-27 and replaced an older structure that had been used by three local schools before it became too crowded or old-fashioned for students to use. The primary economic development during this time period occurred within walking distance of most residents thanks to several businesses located on Washington Avenue including Sam’s Club (later Sears), J & L Drug Store (later Rite Aid), and Coca Cola Bottling Plant No.(still extant). Many mills closed during World War II but reopened after the war due to increasing tourism opportunities; however they closed again by 1990 when Illinois economy changed dramatically due to technology advances making manufacturing more feasible outside of major cities like Chicago without sacrificing quality or customer service

Oak Forest was founded on a tract of land that was part of the Township of Chicago, Illinois. The first settler in Oak Forest was John Pemberton. In 1848, the tract comprising present-day Oak Forest and parts of LaSalle and Rockford were patented to Nicholas Biddle. Over time, other settlers arrived in what is now Oak Forest, including Isaac Ransom in 1871 and George Washington Hardin in 1878. In 1902, the city of Chicago annexed Oak Forest as part of its municipal limits. At this time, much of the original forested land within today's village boundaries was developed into housing tracts and other areas used for industrial purposes. However, most of the remaining forested land remains undeveloped today. Today, Oak Forrest rests along a heavily traveled Route 66 corridor which has led to its nickname "The Avenue Of Dreams." The village is also home to many businesses and institutions such as Gratz College Prep School and Gratz Park Elementary School.
