Oak Forest, Illinois is a small town located in central Illinois. The population was 4,830 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Oak Forest is bordered by the towns of Elmhurst to the north, Thornton to the east, Northbrook to the south and Westchester to the west. The name "Oak Forest" comes from an oak tree that once stood in what is now Oak Forest. The first settler in this area was Nicholas Hogg who arrived in 1812. Hogg's family hunted game and traded with Indians in this area for years before selling land here. In 1827 John Prentice bought 640 acres of land here and named it Oak Forest after his great-grandfather Colonel James Oakes who fought at Bunker Hill during the American Revolutionary War. Prentice also built a home here which still stands today called White House Manor. In 1854 Reverend John Fenton moved his congregation from Geneva, Indiana to this community and founded First Baptist Church there on December 14th of that year. In 1865 furniture manufacturer George Weiser opened his business here and soon became one of Oak Forrest's most important residents. He donated land for a public park which later became known as Weiser Park after him. Weiser also helped found Chiropractor’s Hall (now Chiropractic University) in nearby Arlington Heights and played an instrumental role in its establishment as one of America’s top medical schools In 1916 Dr Julius Nyquist started work at Northwestern Memorial Hospital as a cardiologist and eventually became head physician there During World War II many citizens volunteered their time or money towards making Oak Forrest one of America’s leading neutrality zones After the war many businesses closed but new ones rose up including The Ford Motor Company which began manufacturing cars here By 1990 oak forest had increased its population to over 5,000 people Today oak forest remains a quiet but vibrant community with close-knit relationships between its residents that have helped it remain successful over more than 200 years
The AR15 upper receiver is a firearms system designed to fire the 7.62x39mm NATO round. The rifle was designed in the early 1970s by Eugene Stoner and Jack Winchester, who are considered co-inventors of the modern AR15. The first rifles chambered for this cartridge were manufactured in 1976. It has been used by many militaries and police departments around the world, including the United States military, UK security services, Australian Police Service, Mexican Federal Police, Swiss National Guard and Israeli Defense Force. In recent years it has become more popular with civilian users as well. The original design of an AR15 upper receiver was based on a Chinese Type 97 assault rifle that had been modified to fire the 7.62x39mm NATO round. This conversion process involved cutting down an old Type 97 rifle into its basic components and then welding them together using commercial hot-dip galvanization techniques. These rifles were designated "AR-10" receivers from this point forward. From these conversions came many different versions which have found their way onto American soil over the years as surplus military hardware turned up at gun shows or through private transactions between individuals or businesses. Many variants of the AR15 have been created, such as Buffer Tube Rifles (BTRs), Carbine Length Rifles (CLRs), Heavy Barreled Rifles (HBRs), etc., all of which share some commonalities but differ greatly in terms of features and functionality. One of the most famous incarnations of an AR15 Upper Receiver is probably that built by Jerry Maroney aka "the Snake", who made numerous modifications to his creation for use with both law enforcement agencies and recreational shooters alike across America during the late 1990s and early 2000s when large numbers of these rifles were still available on countrywide shelves throughout much of North America under various brand names like S&W & Colt/Bushmaster/.22 LR Conversion Kits etcetera without any guarantee that they would ever be exported outside those regions again given how Firearms Legislation had changed since Maroney's time period expired back in 1994 after enactment of several new NRA laws specifically targeting semi-automatic firearms within certain classes & types not previously subject to regulation via state & local governments anymore due to DOJ efforts known as Gunshow loophole legislation ie NFA violations ie no longer being able to sell guns at licensed ammunition sales venues thru dealers registered with DOJ except thru employees Of Dept Of Justice At Bureau Of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms And Explosives instead making it nearly impossible for buyers interested in buying handguns At Ammunition stores anywhere near you regardless Of where you live today) . Since Maroney's time period expired there has been little chance for anyone other than licensed gun dealers within a certain radius OF A BATFE office located in Washington D C To offer any kindOf retail service or sales opportunity whatsoever catering specifically To American Citizens wishingTo purchase An Ar 15 upper receiver either newly manufactured OR pre-owned however with each passing year fewer & fewersuch stores remain so hopefully one day we will see AnAr 15 Uppers available On American soil again(although I doubt it) .

Oak Forest is a small town in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. It takes its name from a large oak tree on the town's square. The first Europeans to visit Oak Forest were white fur traders working for the Russian Fur Company in 1814-1815. They trading posts and communities were established along the Kankakee River near present-day Chicago. In 1836, Ulysses S. Grant visited Oak Forest and recommended it as a site for a new military post on the Black Hawk Warfront battlefields in central Illinois because of its moderate elevation and strategic location between two important Native American villages: Fox Lake and Wabash Creek. construction of Fort Dearborn began in 1840 with 2nd Lt. Samuel Todd as commander and General David Dixon as military governor. The fort served as an outpost for during the 1841–1842 Overland Campaign against Mexican forces commanded by Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna west of Streator, Illinois. In 1846, Fort Dearborn was destroyed by fire after being attacked by Native Americans led by Chief Tecumseh; only three men escaped alive with their horses (the garrison had also looted supplies). Two years later, Fort Dearborn was reactivated under command of Captain George Armstrong Custer during what became known as the Battle of Black Hawk Plains when General Andrew Jackson invaded Central Illinois to crush partisanship among early settlers following his disputed election victory over John Quincy Adams in November 1848. On July 8, 1851 Custer's force consisting of six companies plus cavalry attacked an advance party led by Major Robert Ewing at what is now called Tower Hill while approximately 1,000 Indians (tribal warriors living off hunting and fishing rights) defended themselves using spears and arrows from behind cover including trees up to twenty feet tall; resulting in five dead or missing Custer's troopers plus one wounded horse; total loss for Indian attackers without fatalities estimated at twelve killed plus thirty-six captured POWs/civilians.(Custer Monument National Historical Park) This event remains significant not just because it was one of several engagements leading to Jackson's accession as President of the United States but also because it demonstrated that Ulysses S. For example, because Oak Forest lacked a school system at the time it became a municipality, many residents soon began working as teachers or other civic officials; this caused many of the town's initial inhabitants to lose out on economic opportunities that would have arisen if they had been able to participate effectively in local governance.
