The years following World War II saw rapid growth in North Aurora; it reached its peak population of 85,000 in 1960 and climbed to 205,000 by 1970. However, following economic recession and job loss during the early 1980s,000000 people left town between 1980 and 1990 – all but 3% of its pre-recession population size – while remaining jobs virtually disappeared from urban areas across America throughout this time period After struggling through three recessions starting around 2000 (the latest being 2008), North Aurora made significant progress over the past decade or so as both private businesses and local governments regained trust with taxpayers once again In total since 2006North Auroras rate has increased 30%. This growth potential has come about not only because more people have moved into our city but also due to new programs which have been put into place such as: grants for arts & culture projects & construction loans for businesses; revamping streetscape including resurfacing sidewalks/driveways; adding green roofs onto buildings which will reduce energy consumption thereby reducing carbon emissions etc.; creating parkland properties which are now being used for housing developments etc.? North Aurora became a village in 1892, and it was incorporated as a city in 1907. The population of North Aurora peaked at over 10,000 in 1930, but it has since declined dramatically. Today, there are just under 1,000 people living in North Aurora. The history of North Aurora begins with its beginnings as a small town located near the junction of two rivers. At first, the town was little more than a hunting and fishing spot for local Native Americans. However, when white settlers arrived in what is now North Aurora during the mid-19th century they started to arrive in increasing numbers and soon enough there were several families living in what is now downtown. It wasn’t until 1892 that North Aurora became an official community and began to grow rapidly thanks to its location close to both major markets and transportation options. By 1920 however, things had begun to unravel for the town as rapid economic growth led to increased demand for housing and services from residents alike. Unfortunately for North Aurora, this growth also led to environmental damage as developmentpletions were constructed without consideration for how they would impact nearby wildlife or local water supplies. This led eventually to serious health problems experienced by locals as well as state legislation banning building on valuable watersheds – something that still occurs today in some parts of Illinois! Despite these issues however, North Auroras legacy remains one of success story against all odds – even though its borders have changed many times over the years! Today’s community has worked hard to maintain its traditions such as agriculture (mainly corn), trade (with neighboring towns), education (including three high schools), civic engagement (including being home base for many annual events) and supportiveness towards one another through social media outreach!
In 1847, the first post office was established in North Aurora. The townspeople were so excited about this new development that they organized a petition to have a mail service established. In 1848, the first train arrived in North Aurora and the town became an important transportation center. The population of North Aurora gradually grew until it reached its peak in 1920 when there were over 1,000 residents. However, during World War II, North Aurora saw its biggest growth as military residents moved into the town to serve their country. After the war ended, the population slowly declined until it peaked again in 2000 with around 1,500 residents. Today, North Aurora is a small community with few active businesses and most of its citizens rely on tourism and agriculture for their income.
