There are several stores within walking distance including Macy’s department store located just across from KFC where you can get everything you could possibly need for your day(luggage included!), Ford Park which features lovely gardens complete with ponds perfect for swimming/fishing/biking/jogging etc., Costco which offers great prices on groceries as well as movies and amusement park rides! Yes I have mentioned that this wonderful town has an amusement park ride called “The Comet” which features two coasters – one high speed with speeds up to 65 MPH;the other a slow ride that travels around an oval course! What more could someone desire?

It is located on the west side of DuPage County and east of Orland Park. Norridge was founded as a small log cabin community by Alexander Norridge and his family in 1838. The village name may be derived from "north" (i.e., north) of the original grant land that was given to the village by Judge George Stephenson in 1836 for its growth as a trading post on the Great Western Railroad. In 1840, when Norridge became a town, it had only five residents; by 1860 it had grown to over 100 with an arsenal and wagon shop, grist mill, schoolhouse and two churches. In 1872-73, work began on what would become known as Lake Michigan Boulevard which connected downtown Chicago with western Aurora Township through Norridge. The first streetlights were lit in 1886 when electricity was brought toDu Page County from Joliet via a wire service run by Southern Illinois Gas Company owner Amos Kendall. By 1930 there were over 1,500 people living in Norridge with retail stores such as Jiffy Lube and Sears running along present day First Avenue between State Street and Third Street; then there were also several hundred homes built during this time period alone The population increased rapidly after World War II when many farmers moved into Norridge from rural areas around DuPage county due to advances in agriculture technology In 1957-58 work began on construction of Moline Road which became one of DuPage County's most advanced transportation projects In recent years much development has occurred within the boundaries of Norbridge including: new housing developments such as Northwoods Estates & Homes (2013), Montrose Place (2018) and Sunrise Manor (2020). This list could go on but suffice it to say that since 1960 Norridge has experienced rapid growth both economically and culturally
